I have a healer and I've already spent many hours in the fleet, flagged for LFG and "socializing BW style" (AKA spamming fleet), to no avail, Id rather have a tool that fixes that.
its called an estimation through his experience that he is describing.

and my experience it was more like 75 percent of the time the group was filled with griefers, rude people, or just plain bads.

i bet i grouped with you at some point. because the bads/griefers/rude people always had lovely experiences apparently.

I agree with you about those other dungeons, btw. It was a lot of fun running alts through Stratholme, Dire Maul, and Mana Tombs again at the appropriate level with a full group.

LFG isn't all bad, but I think there are overwhelming disadvantages in implementing it, which Blizzard is finding out the hard way.
So, maybe the LFG cross server tool should be for levels 1-49 only, and max level content is same server only. Just a thought.

The LFD tool isn't killing WoW. In fact WoW isn't dying. It's suffering a lull at the moment but that's not to do with the LFD, that's due to lack of content.

Seriously you check the majority of opinion polls about why people have unsubscribed and you'll find it's not "I did some random pugs on LFD and they were rude to me so I quit the game."
No it's "I got bored of doing the same dailies, the same grind and the same raids."

For some evidence: http://www.mmo-champion.com/threads/...3#post15274403

The LFD tool was originally introduced during Wrath Of The Lich King nearly two years ago. If that is what you're claiming is killing Wow then it sure is taking a long time to do it!

It's a tool to help people and let them enjoy the game. If you don't like it, don't use it and shut up.
it may or may not be killing wow, i dont know.

what i do know is at least 1 person in this thread quit wow because of the experiences they had while using it, and the effects it had on the community. (i have no idea what you guys that say "there is no community" think the definition is, could one of you please explain?)

the true social aspect in a mmorpg is having sex while you play... anything different its just NECESSITY and Forced Social Aggregation.

I don't agree, I think the exact opposite (50's only) needs to happen.

One of the beatiful features is that you can "just say no", leave a group, and re-que, often without a wait. I'd note that I don't think I've ever met a WoW player who used the term "bads" that I didn't invariably end up vote kicking...just saying.

Well, if everyone is having issues with groups for FP's, then I guess it just needs to apply to everyone, but as someone has already suggested... give people choices as to same or cross server. Again, just white boarding here. The solution may be somewhere else out there.

That silver bullet is so elusive some times.

The Looking for Group tools Blizz added to WoW is a great addtion. Many of my guildies use the LFG tools in WoW and we also still do runs together. But we are a very casual guild, with members wanting real life issues coming first. So it is hard to all meet on the same day and time to do raids. The Looking for Raid feature solved that. Now..we all can experence end game content, get better gear than we can just for doing 5 man heroics. And this has not hurt my guild at all. We have actually gained members sence Blizz launched the feature.
Trust is something which is earned.
