My sorcerer was speced for the longer dot. My mercenary was specced pyro for the dot.

I think this is a good change. I could defend the east or west sides forever because my dots would run long enough for me to fly back to reapply them. The only defence is for someone to be at the droppoint and stunlock me as I got off the speeder.

Of course they could of also fixed it by not letting you instantly fly back. The other wz have a delay.

I don't like the idea suggested of have your dots drop when you die, its too big of a nerf.

DoTs should not interrupt I agree with you, it just turns into one guy, bad or good being able to fend off an entire group with one DoT. There's competative PvP and then there's SWTOR DoTs lol, I'm glad they're changing it.

Good: Oh noes I have been DoT'd! *cleanses self* buhahaha. Done.

Bad: Oh noes I have been DoT'd! *trys to plant/cap untill DoT returns* QQ. *Goes to forum and makes a whine thread*

If only every class had a low CD cleanse ability that was spamable.

Are you kidding me? This is particularly helpful when you are solo defending and want to delay cap because your team is half way across the map... BW can't be serious. This doesn't make any sense. What is the reasoning for doing this....
You just found the answer!

It's completely idiotic that one person can delay a cap for sometimes several minutes- by dotting up a team, dying, flying back and dotting up again.

This.

Solo-defending is meant to be a dangerous gamble, best left to someone with high survivability.

Stop relying on zerg strategies and learn how to beat an opposing force that has equal numbers.

The waythings are now, it's way too easy to interrupt captures (leading to far too many 0-0 ties in Voidstar).
I like this a lot. It would take some tuning to prevent eight people from taking advantage of the targeting and collision mechanics by running to the same node and capping it at the same time. But I think it could work really well for some (or possibly all) types of damage.

I'll enjoy seeing more teams get to the end of Voidstar, and I like the idea of turrets switching hands more often in Aldaraan. But I also understand the frustration of players who feel like they're about to lose a successful tactic.
This is my first visit to the Galaxy of Terror, and I'd like it to be a pleasant one.

Since the last few pages are just in favor of this change please read the whole post. I understand that dots that persist after a person dies should NOT prohibit cap, but a dot from a person who is alive should otherwise BW needs to post which abilities they are blocking and which they are not because some specs have ALOT of dots in the rotation. agree or not?

Are they simply expecting us to white damage or cc or knockback (not every class has this)....
PTS with no character copy before major content patch - Fail
Taking out major content from a patch the day before it goes live - BioFail

Cancelled Sub.

They're expecting you to use direct attacks. This would be your "spam ability" if you're a DoT class. No classes ONLY use DoTs.
