Logistics, I mean Lineage 3 was called off. The employees then procceeded to get pissed after watching years of work go to waste and created Bluehole Studios. And for those saying the game is a massive grind, go play the 'westernized' version of it. En Masse added hundreds of quests to reduce the grind time and provide a smooth experience(although I do think the dungeons still take a long *** time to finish)

and in my opinion they have really failed in bringing those worlds to life, there is no creativity within them... there is no life.. they are just these bland worlds with no life to them.

when i first visited hoth i was so excited because usually snow and water are my fav. things to experience and explore in a game world and it was just so disappointing... so, so disappointing.

nar'shaddah is the one place that i think they did a good job with.. it has some life and creativity to it but i haven't been happy with any of the other worlds.

and my spaceship is so disappointing as well.

but i understand it's not to everyone's taste.

my point was just that the whole swtor universe feels like it's dead (the game universe), especially when you compare it to those other games.

where's the creativity? where's at least some life? where's the pulse? hehe.
There's far more life in SW:TOR than there is in any MMO I've ever played that's for sure. What MMO allows you to make any choices or have different outcomes in each situation, what MMO has an even remotely decent set of atmospheric effects like SW:TOR does, such as NPC conversations amongst themselves, companions, etc. If you're expecting a game that will jump out at you like it's virtual reality than good luck finding one until gaming reaches that point, if it ever does. There are things that can be done to improve what they've got, and I've got no doubt that if anyone can make it happen it's going to be BioWare. TERA is far less 'alive' than SW:TOR is, the npc's are ALL static, there's far more similar looking NPC's in that game, you can't really interact with quest givers other than accepting the quest box...I mean, really? Hello 1998.

They could do more with day/night cycles. Maybe weather, etc but they will get to that one day I'm sure. It's just not necessary for the majority of players.

The only 'life' that can be noticed in SWTOR is the sound of my footsteps or the engine of my mount :s

If they were sooooooo creative they would've started from SCRATCH and not use copyrighted material and artwork from NCSoft as their base. That's not creativity, that's plagiarism

It is creativity. They were the ones that created the stuff. Sure, what they did was illegal, but they stole what they had done themselves, not someone elses work.

The world of tera is bright, beautiful and great to explore.

The combat is new and intuitive.

The GFX are way better andyou can play it on 1/2 the spec u need for swtor.

There are some very good systems including the glyphing/crystals/luxing/identifiying and enchanting. getting +12 gear will take LONG...

G v G pvp, Sever V Server PvP, control of continents for guilds. 5 man dungeons HM and normal mode. 10 man raid 20 man rift raid and just a ton more stuff.

Theres an absolute ton of collectibles, mounts and achievments.
After playing Tera, I can say it's not my cuppatea. The targeting is all well and good until you're in a scrum, where suddenly it's "Run around and press buttons blindly hoping something dies."

It's good that there are those that like it. Be interesting to read their forum a month after release.

Given that every planet is different, thats pretty creative.

The life is in the other players I do things with. Don't try to turn a MMO into a single player game only (If that is indeed what your looking for as I don't know)

Also, I don't need to sit, swim or kill critters around the world for the game to have life. As there are soem gret little battles you run across and groups of mobs that do more than stand there.

Teh pulse beats when you do something and it beats very well. Get into some groups. Expand your friends list, Hit some HM and Operations and some PVP.

There is not a ton of end game content but we have only been playing 2.5 months and new stuff is in March as I hear it.

The game is there, you just have to play it and not sit around wondering why the art of Ilum is similar to Hoth.

granted, they get points for attempting what they are with the choices and stuff... it doesn't go unnoticed and i respect them for trying to bring it to an mmo.

but it's just not good enough, it needs to be more complex... there needs to be more than just 3 basic answers. and there needs to be more consequences and meaning to your actions.

the voice acting is great, i'm not saying it isn't and i enjoy it.

but behind the voice acting there just isn't enough overall. i don't feel it's creative enough.

tera's npcs are "static" as you say but as a whole with the creative presentation, the characters, the world it far outshines anything of swtor in that department.
