it hit me, what the thing was that is lacking from the game that has left me feeling empty.

it's that creativity, that artistic flare..

with this game you have such a dull, bland presentation... there isn't any life in the worlds, all the characters are basically the same humanoid model... there isn't any flare or creativity in the characters, the worlds, the spaceships, the space stations... it's just a giant ball of "yawn".

with tera there are a bunch of diverse characters, a vivid.. imaginative presentation with alot of flare.

the only reason i'm still enjoying myself is that i'm a huge spaceship/space opera, etc junkie.

but even that part of the game is leaving me empty, it's like they just threw some half arsed ship there without any life, without any care or presentation and expects that to be enough.

i'm going to stay with the game for awhile but if there isn't a creative vision presented for the future i gotta say i'll be jumping ship.. probably over to tera.

i'm no troll, or hater or anything..

there needs to be more life, more creativity and more passion in the game.
also the more i explore the decision aspect of the game which is the heart of the game the more i see it's flaws and how it's not that fulfilling, it should be much deeper and complex.

i hate to be one of those people jumping ship but right now i'm a bit unhappy with how things are.

i think i'll give it 6 months time to see how things come along.

If this game survives long enough I think we will have an amazing product after a year.

there's plenty of things that needs fixing, like limited crafting options, limited character tweaking options, if you want to see fantastic character customization and tweaking look at anarchy online, feels abit like a wow clone, with no open world immersive feel - I think this is one of the main game breaker, if they are going to implement an expansion in the future it better have huge open worlds where everyone have to go to and leave the current tiny instanced world mechanics behind. Last but not least, a totally imbalanced PVP experience where some classes are overpowered and some classes are completely broken, and yet they haven't fix this for 2 months, so yeah, minor fixes and adding a brand new instance won't cut it if the core game issues are not fixed.

im beta testing tera also and found it outdoes SWTOR on every single level. if im gonna waste 10 quid a month itll be on tera.

The world of tera is bright, beautiful and great to explore.

The combat is new and intuitive.

The GFX are way better andyou can play it on 1/2 the spec u need for swtor.

There are some very good systems including the glyphing/crystals/luxing/identifiying and enchanting. getting +12 gear will take LONG...

G v G pvp, Sever V Server PvP, control of continents for guilds. 5 man dungeons HM and normal mode. 10 man raid 20 man rift raid and just a ton more stuff.

Theres an absolute ton of collectibles, mounts and achievments.

i hope so, i want it to succeed and be a better game.

but when you look over at tera or even guild wars 2 and you really see how lacking this game truly is.

i mean guild wars 2 is in beta still and they already have massive world vs world vs world event things, and they have a creative presentation.

and i'm no fan of gw2 but i respect they are least doing things, for example check the vid.

and tera has creativity pouring out in every direction.

just putting a happy face on voice acting just isn't enough with these 2 games coming out soon.

There's no way this game WON'T be around after a year. If Final Fantasy XIV could have the train wreck that its launch was and still be running, SWTOR will easily be around a year from now.

I also agree that this game will only get better if you give it time.

That in SWTOR would be great.

It's a combo or WAR and DAoC only using servers rather than factions.

I guess the difficulty (other than technical) would be that SWTOR has 2 factions to start with.
Real Star Wars space combat please, not Star Wars Fox! Maybe some PvP and flight too?

For me players are building up the hype for GW2 to the point players will be dissapointed and disillisioned as they have become with Swtor. I think i'll wait a few months after GW2 is released before I decide to play or not.

As for Tera I wouldnt touch it with a 10 foot barge pole, over a decade of the science fantasy genre so I never want to see another elf, dwarf, or troll again. Also to me the game seems like an exact wow clone but with better graphics. Even has gylphs
