Disappointing. Can't believe I actually fathomed the notion of this being fixed today. Disappointing.
True story bro

yep, nothing had changed. same absolutely random behavior - you can get it after 30 kills, after 50 kills, or after just joining an Ilum fight with 2-3 kills. Then, after you die, it might let you 2-3 kills, or 5-4 kills, or 20-30 kills (taken from different people in the same OPS) or, the funniest part was today - my wife got the No Valor Gained, she was too lazy to die, and in 3 minutes - BAM - she is getting valor back and after that she proceeded getting it until we were done with gaming session. I was getting it every 3-4 kills, not as dire as sometimes (when it is literally 1-2 kills) and some other people were not getting it at all.

NO REACTION FROM DEVS, literally, no response, some dude he got response to his ticket and by his words a person who wrote this ticked did not know anything about it, and tried to theorycraft as much as we do.

i have almost no hope they will answer in regular Q/A, i posted the question there, and i do not think patch 1.5 will change this also.

i have about 20 days left on sub so lets see, but i have really low hopes for getting a proper answer.

Needs a fix.

This bug severely impacts players' enjoyment of Ilum.

It was a terrible idea, whatever it was designed for.

designed to keep your monies and keep you from leveling to quickly

like mostly everything else in this game (original pvp bags, "buggy" ops)

Absolutely. It is totally unprofessional to totally ignore this problem, especially when they found time to identify, fix and patch the /stuck exploit but they can't even take 5 minutes to post about this? Having to suicide every 3-5 kills, missing at least as many credits while you try to die, and then a whole load more runnning back from a complete unneccessary death?

A quick look in the background and it should be obvious which process is blocking the kill credits and generating the specific 'no valor gained' message. Why hasn't that been fixed?

It's a fix for the valor trading idiots... Or supposed to be, lol.
it is promoteing trading kills since you have to die to reset it or leave the zone. again another poor game design.

Once you hit cap and not getting valor/daily-weekly counts: die.

But that only works for a few kills then it's back to no valor gained.

So what happens is everyone groups up, heads to Ilum, and once you hit the no valor gained mark: everyone bails. Sure its probably wise to have a cap due to possible exploiting but in the end it stops PvP rather than promoting it.

Would like to see a different solution, increase in kill cap, and or lower the timer a bit.

edit. leaving zone, relogging, and or queing a WZ then coming back also works but if you are on a populated server like mine during 4 am farmfest....you will end up being put in Ilum (2) instead where there is no fighting at all. As said, only way is to purposefulley go and die to temporarily get around this for a fw kills: who here can say that's good game design? I think its super bad, personally.

Bioware's solution to this "problem" is to kill Ilum in 1.1.5
