Most games at launch have a pre-set higher tier of gear that people shoot for... and as the game ages, more sets are added and the gear look becomes more varied as people have multiple sets and items to choose from.

Heck, people have the option already to wear social gear and orange items... so the fact they all sit in the same gear at fleet, or elsewhere, says a bit about the people who play.

Anyway, they already are looking at the modding stuff, and the dyes to make it look slightly different.... and you only have to wait till more stuff is added in the near future.
I wonder if this is your first MMO? Or you're just pointing out the obvious.

Most major MMOs all feature basic remodeling and color dye tools at launch, rendering your point moot. Heck, there are actually several decent looking green outfits in this game, all black Republic outfits included, imagine if you could remodel your PvP gear into it.

You obviously play some Empire toon only or you would otherwise know that most Republic orange gear all consist of filthy rags that look like something Goodwill thew away - and they're all made up of the color white and/or different shades of shi... I mean brown. There are NOT multiple sets and items to choose from, not many that vary in appearance anyway.

Social gear itself is useless, most players at endgame can't go through the different social tiers due to a known bug that (still) hasn't been addressed. Players' only option is to run normal mode Esseles/Black Talon over and over again - and we all wanna do that, right? Makes aiming for that Galactic Party Bomb so much fun...

You can actually buy orange modable gear from commendation vendors. Different flashpoints offer different commendations applicable to the level of the flashpoint and the associated level of missions on particular planets.

In short: orange gear is far from useless. Although I agree about the colour schemes used though. Brown seems to be heavily used throughout this game.
Supporter of having the following in the game:
Full Control Space Combat, More Playable Species (not unlockable),
Swimming, Sitting In Chairs, Planetary Day / Night Cycles and other MMORPG elements
MMO's are not meant to be films, and neither should they be movie-studio set tours

I've dead set stripped every single mod from my 40+ gear because id rather run around in a low end armor set that actually looks different from everyone else

Putting out all this effort to actually be able to last in a warzone just to look the same as everyone else is kinda depressing.. would of prefered if they only released tier 1 pvp/pve armors at launch and slowly released higher tiers as the months progressed with different styles and looks

TLR ? Go the repub or imp fleet and look at all the 50's..
How Much Did That Cost you- as i have riped purples out at level 30 odds and each costs 10K
10 Years and over 20 Mmo's and i still miss the first

rolfstopming opinions all over the place.

you outright lie point blank in the first part and continue posting non-sense (and unfounded) accusations in the rest.

way to post a huge post with zero substance nor real points.

so... is it that people are trolling over the lack of different armor styles, or the color, or both... and it is awesome that you can dismiss the social gear as 'useless' when it CAN still be obtained.

wise up and come up with a better argument.

Butt hurt much? Thanks for such wonderful feedback. You failed to address anything but orange gear and yes, while it CAN still be obtained, it CANNOT as intended by the devs, unless the devs intended for players to go back to the first Flashpoint and repeat it over and over, in normal mode, to gain social points.

Are you saying most major MMOs don't feature remodeling tools? Feel free to list them.
Are you saying most Republic orange gear in this game isn't made up either by the color white and/or different shades of brown, that they don't come in duplicates - and that there is amazing looking gear out there the rest of us don't know about? Feel free to list them.
Are you saying there are no cool looking green gear in this game? Nor all black Republic outfits? Wrong again.

C'mon, prove your original statement true then.

sign of a troll... insult and fall back to a good 'ol 'butt hurt' statement

you seem determined to argue things no matter what the truth. maybe you honestly do believe that way... so here goes.

you lied in your first post. outright... and bent the truth to fit your warped logic.

yes, I am saying most MMOs don't feature remodeling tools at launch like you stated.

since i never said anything about browns or whites being republic gear colors... I can say that yes, most are that color... as the empire side is mostly black and red. so what? the armor styles still vary a ton... or is color all you care about? If so... ok. then it appears you are arguing not over 'looks', but color palettes.

umm I never said anything about greens. so, you are arguing things not once were mentioned in the post. Should I pull out a bunch of random things to ask you now? I fail to see the point.

you got caught lying... see above posts... and now you want to warp reality to continue the good fight. let it rest, my lad. let it rest.
