They are doing a great job and Bioware is doing/trying/did/do whatever you want, is fixing the bugs and addressing the players concerns.
Precisely.

I only asked him (and not you) because his hate is so apparent and intense. In the past two or three days, I've seen him show up in thread after thread, talking about how horrible the game is.

Here are some comments just from yesterday and today....

"I found all of the planets to be boring and uneventful."

"This game is fail"

"You know what the best way to garner continuing support for a game or product is? To make a product that doesn't suck. "

"The end game "story" is a complete joke in a game that is supposed to be about story."

"I'm pretty sure Lego Star Wars is better if we are only counting recent releases."

"There is nothing more immersive than loading screens and dead, instanced worlds."

"The game sucks, that is what I care about. "

If you're suggesting that I'm misinterpreting "This game sucks" and "This game is fail" as hate for the game when it's just criticisms, we'll just have to agree to disagree.

Edit: I know my original post looked like I was trying to set up some kind of a debate trap, or even worse, it looked like I disguising a judgment in a question, but I really wasn't.

I'm genuinely curious. I mean, if there are aspects he likes, cool. But he's said that he hates the core design. He finds the planets boring, the instancing awful, and has flat out said "This game sucks." Then he specifically said that he doesn't even think they're trying to make it better.

I just can't conceive of why he paid that first sub unless there are actually good aspects to this game for him. I was simply asking if that's the case. Apparently, I asked it in a way that looks like I'm attacking him, but I promise that wasn't my intent. I just can't wrap my brain around it (assuming he's telling the truth).

Also, if I'm misinterpreting his posts, I'll gladly apologize. I'm not a forum warrior. I concede debates on this forum constantly.
No worries, Vecke. It's all clear. =)

Also, I can't seem to make a post and not sound like a total Snarky Snarkerson. I think it's my greatest forum flaw.

I'm no hater, I wanted this game to be awesome. Played beta, yadayada.

But I can't get myself to finish my class-story because the game is so bad in so many areas. A poor copy-paste of ALL other generic mmo's. Nothing new and original except class-stories. Everything else have been done before, just waaay better. It's sad. Just sad.

A perfectly respectable opinion. It's weird that I agree with you, yet I enjoy the game.

I've played a ton of MMOs, but Norrath has really been my home (EQ and EQ2), with SWG being third.

I'm also a complete Star Wars tool. I admit it.

I tried WoW and hated it. I hated the art style and I hated the constant barrage of pop culture references that continually pulled me from the reality of the game. I just couldn't get into the looks and the personality of the game.

My friends (most of which had migrated to WoW), kept saying, "You really just need to get past that, because the actual gameplay is genuinely fun."

I couldn't get past that. It just killed the immersion for me. And the funny part is, my standard reply was always, "Well, if they ever make a Star Wars game based on WoW's gameplay, I'll see you there."

I still haven't played WoW enough to know how similar it is to TOR, but if what you're saying is true, it perfectly explains why I enjoy TOR.

I didn't come into this game looking for great innovation. I came looking for a fun Star Wars MMO to play casually. And that's exactly what I got.

Not saying you're wrong... Just giving a different perspective.

Why are these MMO's releasing with a lack of forethought?

I honestly feel sometimes that any company has developers who don't even play these god dam games, that pisses me off because I see within all of these forums world wide for all these games a few individuals that really know their stuff and what the PAYING PUBLIC wants.

So sad to say as boring as I find World of Warcraft now, Blizzard is one of the few companies that really knows their player base.

They know not everyone runs a $2000 rig, they tailor their games to run on a wide variety of systems based on an average, there's also a demographic World of Warcraft has reached that is like the holy grail of gaming, the girl population, I know more female players in WoW than I have ever known since my days of Meridian 59/Ultima Online.

What did they do? I have no idea, but kudos.

I can ran ton and on about stupid things that nobody cares about but the fact is, I feel for a great game SWToR is they dropped ball from the moment of inception on who decides that Ilum was a good idea, who picked the game engine that needed such severe work, to tailoring a game for a VERY specific PC set up (you're kidding yourself if you say it's not specific).
