I don't understand. Not only do you hate the game, but you don't even think they are trying to make it better, and yet you've been playing for two months? I could understand if you played the free month, then quit, but it's been two months now and you're still playing. Why did you pay for it after your free month if you think the game is terrible and you think they're not even trying to make it better?

I'm not picking on you here, I just genuinely don't understand. I can understand playing a game, hating it, then quitting before your free month is over. And I can understand playing a game and paying the sub on the hope that it'll one day get better. But I don't understand playing a game, hating it, thinking there's absolutely no chance it'll get better because they aren't even trying, then saying, "Well, I guess I'll pay a sub."

In my own case, I resubscribed despite not being a fan of the game in order to continue roleplaying with the great group of friends I've made in the game, as well as to continue participating in the great guild we belong to. It was an extremely difficult decision to resubscribe for a second time and I can't say I'm entirely pleased with myself for doing it.

I don't hate the game, and I'm not sure where the person you quoted stated that he/she hated the game either.

Too many people erroneously equating criticism with hate...

I laugh everytime a patch is announced. I know the games going to for 4-6 hours (As well as the forums, lmao) and the patch will be super-small and not worth the down-time.

Trying? lol...

I respect what you're saying, but I asked this question because I've seen him show up in quite a few posts lately suggesting - in no uncertain terms - that he hates this game. I only asked him (and not you) because his hate is so apparent and intense. In the past two or three days, I've seen him show up in thread after thread, talking about how horrible the game is.

Here are some comments just from yesterday and today....

"I found all of the planets to be boring and uneventful."

"This game is fail"

"You know what the best way to garner continuing support for a game or product is? To make a product that doesn't suck. "

"The end game "story" is a complete joke in a game that is supposed to be about story."

"I'm pretty sure Lego Star Wars is better if we are only counting recent releases."

"There is nothing more immersive than loading screens and dead, instanced worlds."

"The game sucks, that is what I care about. "

If you're suggesting that I'm misinterpreting "This game sucks" and "This game is fail" as hate for the game when it's just criticisms, we'll just have to agree to disagree.

Edit: I know my original post looked like I was trying to set up some kind of a debate trap, or even worse, it looked like I disguising a judgment in a question, but I really wasn't.

I'm genuinely curious. I mean, if there are aspects he likes, cool. But he's said that he hates the core design. He finds the planets boring, the instancing awful, and has flat out said "This game sucks." Then he specifically said that he doesn't even think they're trying to make it better.

I just can't conceive of why he paid that first sub unless there are actually good aspects to this game for him. I was simply asking if that's the case. Apparently, I asked it in a way that looks like I'm attacking him, but I promise that wasn't my intent. I just can't wrap my brain around it (assuming he's telling the truth).

Also, if I'm misinterpreting his posts, I'll gladly apologize. I'm not a forum warrior. I concede debates on this forum constantly.

They are pretty slow at fixing stuff - but its getting there eventually.

Fortunately I'm a patient guy, so I'm happy to keep playing while they smooth out all the rough edges.

I don't see why these threads are even made there is NOT ONE SINGLE player in the world who is in place to say BioWare is trying or BioWare is not trying. Just a bunch of people talking out of their ***.

Effort (or a lack thereof) is obvious to anyone not looking the other way.

No, you design a car that not only matches the standards of your biggest competitor, but exceeds them as well.

BioWare created a decent mid-priced vehicle and is trying, over time, to convert it into what it should have been when it rolled off the line.

Recreating the wheel is fine and dandy, but your wheel has to be not only as good, but better than the competition right from the start.
This is a logical fallacy of analogy. The two are not at all related or available for comparison. In order to form an analogy one must have parameters that are closely enough related to ascertain a reasonable correlation.

Really i dont care about the amount it time or money it takes to fix 1 bug, maybe it takes a month to fix it 100%? Hell make it so.

Now , the way BW do this is not "fixing" , they simple make a little tweak to the game and put us to test it and say ... hell , this bug is even bigger than last time.So they make another tweak and so on.
currently, the largest issue in game is crafting.

They have just released information stating that they are up to four pages of changes, and counting, for the upcoming patch. PvP will be another issue, end game another. As they have demonstrated, and will continue to demonstrate, those items will be addressed and done with Vigor.

I would much rather have them keep a bug for a month for then fix it completely themselves , than to be put to test it for them new ones every damm week so they can go fixing one thing and bugging another.
Nature of the beast when dealing with software. It is not something tangible that one can see and repair physically. There is no other way, unfortunately.
