I agree. Swimming is not really an issue and time would be more served fixing other more pressing problems. I think it is only if anyone is like me noticed the lack of it and probably ran out into water until you hit the fatigue zone. It's just curious is all, sure it would be nice if we had it but we don't and it's not vital. Which is what made finding the water hole even more surprising. Also it does answer the question on whether we can swim or not

Nice one LA
That's just a retelling of the same story in the Clone Wars Animated Series that came out before Episode III with Anakin and Whats-her-face involved this time. In the episode Kit Fisto ignited his lightsaber perfectly fine underwater and in this retelling it's obviously the same.

The problem isn't lore, it's that the Hero Engine is sub par.

Hee hee hee... QFT. Yeah it did kinda strike me as odd, to wade in the water on Ord Mantell, only to not be able to swim in it.

Come on Bioware, would it kill ya to add one tropical paradise planet with SCUBA quests? LOL!

Call me a fanboy, but I see no reason why we have to swim anywhere at the moment.

Well try swimming across the river in Ord Mantell to get to the rebel base that has the bridge blown up. The water is very treacherous according to the npc lady who gives you the quest...

CeO of the company that made the engine said that poor performance in ToR aint about engine, its about bad coding of BW.

Of course they said that. A CEO wouldn't come out and say that their engine is sub par.

Ofc it cant be true, either the engine is bad by default or BW messed up with it. We all trust EA and BW 100% so that CeO must be wrong.
