Yeah, it's better to stand in empty hallways in a futuristic mall with no variety. We best keep interesting things out of here! And to hell with exploration... that's for WoW kiddies... amirite?

Nice quoted post Lethality. I completely agree.
I especially loved the inclusion of the Star Wars comic strip panels.

Yeah.. I'm leveling my 5000th alt through Coruscant and that planet has become an analogy for a lot of what's wrong with this game. Hallways with doors that don't open. Random side rooms with unnamed NPCs standing there that you can't even target let alone talk to. It's all very lifeless. So much of this is pathed it's driving me nuts.

Don't forget Kamino and Mon Cal. Which are both "water based" planets too.

Then there's Naboo with its expansive water.
Endor probably has some too considering how green it is.

Alderaan, Corellia , Ord Mantell, Balmorra, Drommund Kaas, Hoth, Tython and Voss, are all in the game. And if one looks at the planet images on the site, it would appear that they may all have sizeable bodies of water.

it's cool to see so many players feel the same way I do about the lack of water and swimming.

to all you naysayers out there all i can say is we all started out as swimmers *wink wink* and honestly i liked the underwater zones in wow I thought it was a lot of fun.

which means my opinion differs from yours and everyone has differing opinions. your dislikes of water/swimming is valid and so is my likes and hopes that they are added.

both valid sides of the same coin.

its amusing for me especially since i always spend a lot of time in water throughout all the mmo's ive ever played starting with everquest 1.

so we should all hope that BW can improve its engine abilities and include some cool underwater scenery in the future.

maybe its even a good question to ask in the weekly q&a

This was just one of those hard choices you have to make I reckon, they had to cut dev time somewhere so swimming got the axe.. It is a little odd at times mind, and couple with the games other problems, its just one more thing..

There is a spot on Corellia (I don't remember where atm was about 3/4 through zone) in all the rubble piles and holes there is one hole that has deep water. I was surprised when I fell in at how deep it was considering all the water I have come across so far. There is no swimming animation. I just walked out as if the water didn't exist in other words there was also no water physics. No swim animation and no water physics. Try it out for yourself, will have to do some hunting for the hole tho.

edit: was bugging me so went back and found it. Axial park 1179,5. If you do check it out try jumping while you're in it. http://youtu.be/RKDFUxR32NA

I was shocked the first time I noticed there's no deep water anywhere in the game. After a while I realized that it's the least of its problems.
