I agree.

When they decide to put something out in the water, then they will also let you swim.

For now, anyone feeling the need for water adventures, you and your guild can go out and sponsor speeder races on the water.
When you find yourself surrounded by hostile Clowns... always go for the "Juggler" first.

Also, one of the "doozy's" dreamt up by fans of Bioware to argue against the inclusion of swimming was about how light sabers and blasters don't work under water.

And then Lucasarts blew that idea out of the water (pun intended) by having some episodes of "The Clone Wars" featured on Mon Cal, where Jedis were using their trusty sabers underwater.

I can see where you guys are saying you don't care if there is swimming or not since the game revolves completely around killing mobs on terrain.

But a lot of us other types of people who enjoy exploring or just messin around while being bored in game would enjoy some deep water to cruise around in. At least I would.

IDK what is with this preoccupation with swimming. Some goof actually made a list of "all the things SWTOR doesn't have" or something along those lines, and listed lack of swimming near the top of the list. Really? REALLY???

So you found swimming in other games to be enjoyable? o.O

You guys are too much.

hahaha! awesome. I would be surprised if that sort of tech didn't work under water. A blade that can cut through anything in existance and reflect laser blasts, but water makes it completely unusable... hahaha

That is a circular argument and a feeble one at that. Bioware put great emphasis on how SWTOR was going to encourage things like exploration. You don't need to have great big beasties to fight, just to justify the inclusion of swimming.

What's with certain peoples preoccupation with things like PVP, Operations or companions?
Since when is it a crime to like things that others don't?

In short, you are really in no position to ridicule others for liking something that you don't.

Different strokes for different folks.

According to the makers of the HeroEngine, bioware parted company with them about 3 years ago.

I suspect not many people acutally like swimming. Especially underwater combat, that was always annoying to me. The point is, it's there and it makes the game world feel real.
Kinda like when you're walking around Coruscant, along those neat corridors that you can't ever deviate from... yeah Coruscant feels really fake. None of the SWTOR game environments feel immersive and "real", for lack of a better term, to me. Not one.
