You still generate a code based on your account that no one else can generate, that lasts only 30 seconds...thus the name Security Key...

Defeats the security purpose, yes, but if the person just wants to have access to the vendor. *shrug* Personally, considering that there are fleet shuttles easily accessible on most planets, I don't even use the 1 hour cooldown fleet passes. They're certainly not necessary to play the game.

The purpose of the authenticator is to have something that is completely from your computer.

So... you complain about the advantages of having a security key, and then when someone gives you a way to have one for free you STILL complain.

If someone has access to your computer like that, you have bigger worries then someone logging into your account on game.

I have the security app and just use my regular 18hr fleet pass, i don't really see what the problem is, it's merely a convenience item.

I dont think this poster is going to be happy till the actual skill is down to a 30 min CD like the passes no matter what. They have been given appropriate information to partake in one of the few systems of this game that actually works flawlessly, but it wasn't good enough.
