Its not yet a population problem but a population management problem

It's closer to 2 million subs, but you are completely correct on the problem. Almost 2000 people per server would make all the servers ideal, but that's not what has happened..

Also take into account people are re-rolling onto higher population servers. Jung Ma has had a baby boom lately.
Khryn, Rex'sun, Xhiryn, and variations of such.
Jung-Ma Refugee.
I'm a keyboard turnin' cowboy, baby.

I just don't understand how people can be so thick as to equate people playing fewer hours with loosing population. It's an ignorant statement.

Ok fine, I won't say "Losing players" however; player activity is down that's for sure. Would you accept that?

OP, come back here and tell us how many people are on the fleet the night ops reset.

Rift saw the same drop in activity as pockets of players became geared enough to go into log on to raid mode.

People who play several different mmos complained about the gear grinds and most of these game makers reduced the amount of playtime it takes to get gear. Now half the people STILL complains about the gear grind and the other half complains about not having enough to grind for the sake of progressing their characters.

I wish mmo developers would abandon the fantasy that they can make everyone happy and just make a game the way they intended to.

I wish so too. But these MMO developers are coming as a subsidiary of a public parent company who's objective is to get as many people to play and buy the game so shareholders and the CEO can be happy.

PVe sucks anyways- learn to PVP and 50 people at the fleet won't matter.
I Support: SCPS, Sandbox, Community, Elitest Jurks, MMOers.
I HATE: Kotor fanbois, Single player gamers, Carebears, and kids.

A healthy total pop should be 2000 to 2500 people at prime time.
It's not that I don't have friends or if try hard can find 4 people for a flash point after hours of /all spamming. It's just NO FUN that way.

With your argument a total pop of 16 would be enough to call a server healthy. But that's terrible wrong. 16 players was a cool number back the days where I managed private LAN-Partys. But for a MassiveMultiplayerOnly it's just a bad joke.

EU server. Else I wouldn't use the normal EU time notation. Or would one of you do it?
And I play at one of the better populated servers allready. Most of them have far LESS then 50 people.

In a way yes but when you have the population spread out over so many servers people get the impression that the servers are dead because of people leaving and not because the pop is spread out so thin,

Right or wrong perception is everything and right now the perception is that the low pop is because players are leaving and not because they a spread out

been here since pre launch and imo its nothing to do with perception or feelings it's fact. some servers are dead by comparison with the experience of release.

having said all that. And i moan about bugs till i m blue in the face i really really love this game
