You do realize that the bubble counts as healing, right? It easily adds up when you shield people left and right. And if you don't spec into it the heal is a 3.0 second cast. Which is quite a lot of time and can be interrupted. The 1.5 second heal is Force heavy and inneficient. I don't have any other heals as DPS sorcerer and they suck anyway because their output is rather low and the one heal that is Force efficient as I said takes a long time to cast.

As for the damage, I too made a sorcerer expecting wonders but it just isn't so. Topping the damage meters in PvP is hardly indicative of anything given that I have a lot of AoE abilities and can DoT people which makes it blatantly easy to do lots of damage and top the chart but is not as beneficial as bursting down a healer or another dangerous target on the field which I can't actually do.

The CC - I have one long range stun and one stun with a cast time that needs to be specced into to be instant but breaks on damage regardless (with a short stun on break that stuns for 2 seconds) and a talented Overload that roots but damage reduces the root to 2 seconds again. Given that I am a low armor squishy target I do rather need ways to escape from toe to toe fights with melee classes. It's not my fault that morons use their CC breaker on slow downs or my first stun and then get stunned for the full duration of the next one(Whirlwind, which fills their resolve bar).

Why has this game attracted so many less than smart people(I am being overly nice here, if I actually speak my mind about these people I will get banned for that much profanity)? They don't interrupt, don't focus down healers and go in PvP oblivious to objectives. They also expect to win every fight and when that doesn't happen because they ran into a smart player who knows how to play they come here to cry and moan about it.

If that's the way it's gonna be then Operatives need more nerfs. I still get hit quite hard so lower their damage more. Also give them stances too. So they need to be in one stance to DPS and in another to heal. Switching stances depletes their Energy resource.

Do the same to Mercenaries/Commandos. They can't heal in any other cylinder bar that one that lets you shoot green goo from your pistols. Other stances are for DPS. Changing stances depletes their Ammo/fills Heat to maximum. And also nerf their damage output too. They all have Tracer Missle/Grav Round bound to every key with the one being for Demo Round(whatever the BH equivalent is) and just roll their faces on the keyboard and murder folks. That needs to change. And yeah I have a Commando before someone jumps saying "You are misinformed roll one before you speak, we have it so tough and it's so hard being one, yada yada yada, LoS them, interrupet them, bla bla" So if your advice is interrupt and whatnot, why not do the same to Sorcerers instead of ************ on the forums?

Guardians do way too much damage as Focus and to some extent Vigilance. To multiple people. Nerf it. The hybrid spec 14/27 too! Also when they go into Soresu lower their damage by a lot. After all they can't both guard and dish out dmg at the same time. Blasphemy!! Yep. I have one and with a Focus build using Soresu I can guard people and still do impressive amounts of damage. Unacceptable. Oh yeah, and get tonns of medals in the process.

Sentinels - what the hell? Stealth, that damage mitigation ability that negates a large amount, two lightsabers, force charge, stasis, good damage(and yes they actually do good damage, the fact that there are some who can't grasp the class is not the classes fault but rather the device operating the keyboard is the core issue). Yep, needs nerfing. Oh yeah, and a self heal! Remove it.

Snipers - woah, they crit and do decent damage and they can't be Force charged(No one forces you to pick high armor targets, you do know that right? Because it is often used as an argument as to how low their damage actually is). Change it. Also when they use cover after getting up they are rooted in one place for 1 minute because they need to pack up their gear and THEN go. It ruins my immersion that they can just pop cover out of nowhere and then just pack up and leave.

After all we are all about trade offs and equality, am I right?

TL;DR Each class has some sort of advantage in certain situations. Remove it so we are all equal, have just one skill and each of us no matter the gear does 1 point of damage.

Erm I'm a Hybrid Spec Sorc with full gear and it's a great game if I hit 250k, 500k damage for a sorcerer??

Still the problem is Assassins and Sorcerers shame the same icon....

**** I couldnt have said it better myself. People dont realize that I can get owned easely by a sniper if I cant LoS him, I get pwned easely by a marauder if I dont have all my CDs up, and he starts the fight with hes leep etc. There is just so many bad players, and the ranged classes takes advantag of it, specially on Hutball since the game is made for ranged chars (which is stupid in itself) Hell if I dont interrupt a merc spamming tracers he will go through my shield,stim and alll my life before I get him to half because of hes burst. You have to play smart as a sorc, and try to avoid straight up fights. When people figure out that sorcs can die pretty easely, we will need a buff.

Terrible idea is terrible. It's like saying a tank shouldn't be able to guard someone while doing damage. Or maybe you'll say anyone with a taunt shouldn't be allowed to use it in pvp, if they're not tanking.

Me using taunt/guard in PvP is the same thing as healing.

Personally, yea i think if a hybrid class is capable of dealing the damage of a pure DPS class, they shouldnt also be given the benefits of being a tank or healer at the same time with no compensation to the DPS only classes. But thats just me.

In all seriousness, everyone in this thread knows a hybrid spec sorc can do 660k damage while healing for about 140k.

Every little bit of healing helps.

Pretty close but not quite that high, I've been able to pull off 230K+ healing and 140K+ damage on my hybrid medicine/lethality operative, made me giggle when I saw the scoreboard at the end of the match.
Now that GoergZoeller is gone, buff operative.
SWTOR going F2P, now playing SWGemu.

The Problem with Sorcs vs other Healers is simple..

as a commando, I can spam my big heal 6 times with zero points in the line, before i'm completely out of ammo

As a Sorc, I can do this 19 times.....
