OOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHH, Alright!

I give up!

You guys win!

I guess we'll leave sage/sorc as is, no changes at all. Whatsoever.

You win!

But, if you get into a fight, the duration of that fight is an indicator of DPS.

Sentinel (for example) - fight is quick, enemy dies fast (or kills me fast, either way).

Sage - long, drawn out, kiting, bubbling, DoTs, slow, force speed away, channel, knockback, channel, stun, run away, heal, channel, force lift, run, heal, dot, channel.

i.e. Low DPS.
What spec are you running, i think you need to run a different spec if you are having that much trouble.

We are having 2 completely different experiences and I am not sure why.

Why do I suspect this was the entire reason you made this terrible thread?

Throw out terrible suggestions for buffs to an overpowered class, and after getting shot down, conclude with "I guess they're fine"

Hahaha I love this thread. The OP made some people show how clueless they are about things. Awesome thread.

For example this:

There is no possible way I could have designed a thread who's conclusion was to get people to admit Sages/Sorcs are fine but just annoying and a potent (but not actually overpowered) class to play.

I am no where near that smart.

Sage/Sorc. DoT's are quite weak when compared to DoT's from other classes, and a 31 point madness Sorc. sacrifices a LOT of damage potential that hybrids have for very little potential survivability increase. Maybe if they increased the damage from Affliction and Creeping Terror (and reduced the force cost of affliction a bit), you'll see fewer madness specced sorcerers relying on spamming force lightning to regenerate their force and instead they'll only use it to get their wrath proc .

Quick question: is the gunslinger DoT broken? I've seen it deal up to 2800 per tick, which is quite insane.

Anyway, compare a 31 point madness sorcerer's DoT's to most other DoT's... typically, affliction deals around 350-800 damage per tick (which isn't too frequent) depending on whether or not it crits against a target with very low internal/elemental resists (i.e. no inquis/consular buff + not a spec that gains periodic damage reduction). Creeping Terror does slightly more damage, but due to 15s cooldown, it can't be spammed onto multiple targets easily.

I'll agree that hybrid sorc's can dish out a bit too much DPS as well as have a lot of utility and decent survivability so long as they keep long ranged, but 31 point madness Sorc's are missing a lot of damage potential compared to many other classes due to their DoT's being rather weak (crushing darkness, of course, is a decent DoT and doesn't need any help).

I'm sure I'll get flamed for saying this, but I do agree that sorc. might need a little bit of toning down (with 31 pt. madness sorc. being an exception to an extent - force lightning spamming is too common-place even for us, I agree).
Mains: TheSinner - Madness Sorc; Scornful - Carnage Marauder
Minis: Scorned - Deception Assassin; Sinbane - Pyro Powertech; Sinborn - Marksman Sniper
