will orange gear become obsolete with 1.2?

This might sound dumb, But I want the orange border to be replaced with a purple one when you have full epic mods in it.. Just bothers me.

Anyway, I think that removing mods from endgame gear sets won't be cheap. It's a good idea, My jugg won't look like a transformer anymore

Not following what the concern is?

Sorry, I don't follow conversations in '140 characters or less' (as is sadly evident in my own posts).

What about my idea affects or doesn't affect the wrong/not enough people/crafters?
MOTD - One Giant Server - When I'll Need To Make My 'Bucket-List' List 1. I'm not having fun any more. 2. Puritans. 3. One or more characters were renamed in a server merge. 4. Something given to 'all characters on account' are not given to 'all characters on account'. 5. Design by Committee.

The thing about the mod system is that you can keep the look you want and still have BIS.

If the mod system doesn't work, a appearance tab wouldn't either because they are essentially the same thing after 1.2 goes live.

Min/Maxers will always....min/max.

we begged since before beta for a simple easy unobtrusive social tab; no mess no fuss no QQ.
The only thing that should impact a players success/failure in pvpplayervsplayeris his/her skill not what they are wearing. Otherwise call it GvG gear vs gear, crunch the #'s in a calc, face-roll your keyboard, and go watch TV.polls by paulolesonhttp://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=164486pollhttp://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=164530

From what I hear and remember, people liked the mod system and begged for it to be implemented in full force.

I also remember people who wished for an ATab.

That is another debate, however.

I personally like the mod system.

To each their own, but an ATab like what other games use isn't likely to come to SWTOR.

Orange armour is nothing like an A-Tab.

For one I wouldn't have to spend almost 100k per clothing item everytime I took the mods and if your a heavy armour user your stuck with heavy armour styles.

A-Tab = more options. Until there's a way to change light armour to heavy armour format your still going to be restricted in what you can wear.

I like the orange armour way of doing things, but the A-tab has many more options and is much less complicated.

What you define as "simple" isn't all that simple.
It would exponentialy increase load on the game.
What to you looks like "1 simple outfit" is actualty the following:

The game now needs to keep track of 2 Helms, 2 Pants, 2 Belts, etc. (one visable and 1 that passes through stats to you)

On top of that it's not just one new set on screen at a time. It's 2 new sets... there's no way that people are going to be happy without an appearnce tab for their companions (look at all the "Need hide helmet for companions" demand threads).

Now that we've thrown companions into the mix... you have to have a seperate appearance for each companion (Slave Outfit on Mako "good" same slave outfit on Lord Gault... not so good)

Well it may not help with the heavy armour thing as games have restricted you to the same type as your armour class previous so depends what would have been chosen.

I'm stoked for this. I just got a new helmet, best so far for my Sorcerer, and I look like someone glued a bunch of D batteries to my head. It looks ridiculous. The first piece of head gear that I received in my class story was the best looking really.

This is one of the smartest thing they are going to do. I hope it will come with a lot of new orange armor set to craft.

Too bad since it lacks an augment slot it'll be inferior to a crafted crit which means you will have to end up wearing the same helmet many others are wearing if you want the best stats for that piece of gear. Augments need to be able to go on every piece of gear regardless of if it has an augment slot or not.
