2/22/2012 -> Can we get an update on where the Combat Log is?

I am fine with that. I think that was my stance most of the time. Play with like minded players. I am all for guild use only...100% Not too mention I think I agreed with this some many pages ago, when mentioned we could opt out of using it.

Not bothering to have read the whole post, my 2 cents is simply:

Well, its YOUR most important issue. I for one, haven't noticed or cared that there isn't a combat log. Hasn't really made any difference to me in what I've been doing and if it was never in the game I wouldn't care.

This might possibly be the first thread on ToR forum history where 2 opposite sides has come to an constructive agreement on debated issue and it took only 70 pages.

I'm sure we'll get an official in-game "Do you want a combat log" poll AFTER GW2 has been released, so all the MMO-hoppers that try to make every single MMO the same old same as their previous one will be gone and don't get to vote. Get the playerbase cleaned up first, THEN decide whether the customers who actually proved reliable are even the least bit interrested in whatever feature.

In case you didn't get to play during beta: in-game polling systems are in place and available. They've been used extensively during Beta, and could be easily re-activated to get a more reliable opinion from the actual players than reading these forums would.

He has STILL not answered the most important questions asked of him:

1. You suggested to have "the weakest healer" switch to dps if you don't have enough. How do you determine who is the weakest healer?

2. Have you ever completed a Hard Mode flashpoint with a party composition that did not include 1 tank 1 healer and 2 dps?

He's a hypocrite of the highest form, simply ignore anything inconvenient to his flawed argument and contradict himself at every turn. At the base, this is all he is saying - "I am afraid. I am afraid that other players will bully me."

While I don't necessarily believe the combat log is THE most important thing they need to add to the game, I do feel it would be nice. Coming from other MMO's that do have a combat log, I found it helpful to determine whether I am doing the damage/healing I should be doing. I am in no way a number cruncher but other combat logs have not only had the damage/healing numbers but it's also showed who has actually hit you, with what and for how much. I don't know about anyone else, but I'd like to know who's beating on me and vice versa. I'd also like the option of knowing who's gotten the death blow on me so I can make sure to go after them next. Mwahahaha! Only half kidding there.

Several of the anti-meter people should be embarrassed. Worst arguments ever.

I keep hearing the game is too easy, so why do you need a log?
