Top raid guilds do this today. Yes. But we aren't talking about the dmage that will be inflicted upon the community based on how a top 10 raid guild in the world will use a dps parser are we?

We are talking about the effect that DPS parser have aon a community when put into the hands of the avearge gamer that doesn't realize the dedication it takes to clear end game content.

You make my point for me.

If these tools were limited to Top end raiding guilds, they would be safe. They are not the ones abusing the tool.

So how can any good raid leader make any assumptions whatsoever, that is worth anything, without ever once stepping foot into the encounter before?

Because he watched a Youtube vid? Please - get real. He knows the exact way to compose his raid based off of what he saw on TankSpot vs. experiencing encounters himself? Sounds like a great raid leader to me. Remind me to never join a raid you are associated with - thanks
You're just embarrassing yourself, at this point.

The problem is that you can't escape the fact that without any data, you have no way of knowing where the weakness in the raid exists, or how to address it.

You can have the right composition, the right strategy, and enough decently geared people to complete an encounter, and still fail the encounter if someone is underperforming. You have no way currently to identify them or even help them because there is no way to know where they could improve.

Meters are very usefull tools for average raiging guilds and widely used. If anything BW could prevent using em on pugs but any raiding guild, average or above uses em for they are ment to be.

Which is why your stance should be that players should play with like minded players. Not remove the tool altogether.

I.e. get rid of the grading system from schools so that every kid appears amazing. Very interesting sociological model.

Take writing utensils away form all the students because some can't use them properly.

You say i am embarrassing myself

I say you are showing what little experience you have in raiding without the use of a parser. You show your MMO age.
