Fact: Nightmare mode are being completed every day without a combat parser.
YOu failed to see the point, point was that there is supposed to be 3 difficulty levels and nightmare mode to be very hard and only for serious players/guilds. But nightmare modes are for everyone cause they cant make em harder cause even the bst guilds has bad players within their raidranks cause they cant single em out in any way. having 3 difficulty levels is totally useless when everyone of em is easy.

One would assume they envision their pve content one day having a competitive tier to it.

Combat logs are on the way, meters should come soon after.

Looks like I'm getting awfully lucky.
There's that word again.

Well within 6 months we will have combat logs, damage meters, cross server LF tool, rated warzones for premades only, paid faction and server ransfers same faction warzones and possible small scale WZ(arenas). I guess this thread is about the priority, not about arguing if these things are going to eb added cause those sure will be here in next major 2 patches.

Sigh just stop it will you. You perfectly understand what he`s talking about and you DO understand what meters has to say for end game raiding. If not you either havent played any other mmos endgame that requires input from every player or you just dont care. Either way... just hush pls. Meters are kinda required in this era of mmos when it comes to end game content, especially in mmos.

Why? Its been said a thousand times but ya.. its that simple. To see *** is going on in a fight and who/what does what damage/heal. Pretty simple to grasp actually. And people who goes loco on these forums saying, NO IT WILL RUIN THE GAME, is for me the people who know they suck and dont want to be exposed. Well heres a hard truth. IF you decide to play end game and RAID. You WILL have to do your gosh darn duty in RAIDS to get what you want. Easy as that. Meters is the only way in ANY MMO to see who does what and whatnot. Easy as that. THE ONLY WAY.

For me... well ... anyone voting against meters are self proclaimed noobs worrying about being called out.

Ya thats a harsh statement I know. But If you think about it, it is not. It is actually just the gosh darn annoying truth and it hurts.

People saying meters will ruin the game cause it did that to WoW.. well... yes and no. Yes in the way it ruined it for YOU. NO in the way it didnt ruin it for the rest of us.

See what I did there ?

I`ll even throw in a little PS here to defend you:

Yes meters DO make people specc certain ways for optimum performance etc. Yes it does. But then again. Why even bother playing a class half way when you can do better ?

Your answer: Cause this build fit my playstyle !

Yes it may be doing so... but even then it still handicap all your friends right ?
Yes it does... glad we agree.

But then again.. when all is said and done... who the F... would need meters in TOR anyways. You can do the end game pve content blindfolded, holding a beer while giving your lady the pleasure she wants so yeah....

havnt hung out in the combat area of the fleet much have ya? On both factions this is where the bulk of the max level players hang out. The sad reality is, after you clear your ops each reset, there isnt much else to do! So yes, PVP should be a priority, and they admitted that in one of their last video's.

We had a sniper on consecutive attempts get one shot during p2 > p3 transition. No idea what caused the damage.
Even when you know what caused the damage half the time that doesn't make avoiding it any easier.

I just love the anti-meter and addon crowd that claim that these things dumb down content, yet when I explain to them that HRag was downed by less then 4% of all raiding guilds even with DBM, Dot-timers, macros, Damage meters and the like, they have no response.
Meanwhile, in Tera general chat -

"The sad thing is, arguing with fanbois on the forums was more entertaining than their 300 million dollar single player MMO from 2008"

NO! Pve as endgame that takes 2 hours to clear every week is most popular thing to do at 50. lol.

Ill play a devils advocate here for a minute.

for one I really do not miss the log. I find it refreshing that i can try any myriad of specs and not be *****ed at because my spec is 8.759% worse than the best spec.

Logs lead to parsers which lead to cookie cutter builds which leads to them nerfing the trees like WoW did so you can only spec a certain way.

logs are the path to the dark side.

Also logs are not necessarily needed because guilds are still beating content, because its so easy in this game. In fact you can do HMs in greens and still win.

There also was meters and addons at old naxx and only 1% of player base ever downed a boss there.
