You choose to be here, to play with other people, it's not just your time you're wasting by being bad at the game. If I'm going to commit to spending the time in a flashpoint or OP with you I should be given the information I need to make an educated decision on whether to stay or leave.

If this was a single player game OR if what you did while grouped with me had absolutely no affect on my play experience then I'd agree, but that's not the case.

I don't understand why people think the decision on who to bring/keep in their groups is better off being based upon the players gear/class than on skill.
How do you survive today?

You are unable to play the game and advance right now without a combat log? Clearly you are doing just fine without one so your entire concept that you need it is solely to pre-judge other people. Good for you but I'm not playing for you, I'm playing for me. If I suck you will figure it out right away without a combat log.

Your assertion simply doesn't hold water with the reality we have today.

That is only cause nightmare modes are one of the biggest joke in MMO raiding history. But there is lots of players that want harder and challenging boss fights but BW cant add any due the fact that so many people on different skill level play in same raid group atm.

The onus falls on you to play with a consistent group of people that you have had prior success with if you want to ensure your time is not wasted.

This is why there are guilds.
This is why there are friends lists.

To allow players an organzied format to reconnect with like minded / equally skilled players on a consistent basis.

Combat parses to judge a stranger, and used to exclude people from an enviroment that you have never met or grouped with, is not the spirit of MMO gaming. That is the spirit of Halo - Style Q fests, with performance rankings.

YOU DONT KNOW IF YOUR FELLOW PLAYERS IN A GUILD ARE GOOD OR NOT. AFTER DOING ALL NIGHTMARE MODES ALL I GOT IS THEIR WORD. IF THEY ADD HARD CONTENT SOMEDAY, THEIR WORD AINT ENOUGH ANYMORE AND HAVE TO START SINGLE OUT PEOPLE AND REPLACE EM BUT THERE IS NO WAY TO SEE OR DECIDE WHO TO REPLACE.

sry caps.

Edit, what comes to last part, almost every MMO game up to date has had combat logs and parsers by default or via mods. So dont tell that looking em and judging people by em aint MMO thing, thats what it is.

That is true. I dont know where i stand dps wise compared to other players. If im not worthy or skilled enough to raid with my group, ill gladly seek players of my own skilllevel. Atm i THINK im good, and thats only analyze anyone can make about emself or others, we are lucky that the content is easiest we wever seen in MMOs.

Are you accomplishing what you set out to accomplish? If yes, then you are and you don't need a combat parser. You want one, but you don't need one.

What do you mean how do I survive today? I make decisions based on the information that's available to me. How do you survive? Do you walk around with a blindfold on all day?

How will i figure out if you suck or not? You could feasibly just make sure and not die without ever using an ability and I wouldn't know the difference between you and someone else that not only didn't die but put out great damage or heals.

You're completely lost.

Atm we dont need combat logs or meters, that i agree on. But there are many of us that wants harder fights and when the bosses wont drop like flies, you have to start seek reasons and replacing people. If you are fine with joke bosses and dont want your group to get better, its your choice of play and there is lots of like minded people for you to raid with, that doesnt matter about challenging bosses or about getting better.

I play the game and I win the encounters I'm attempting. Urgo, I don't suck.

I'm not the one that is lost here.
