Oh, I thought you said you were a Shadow/Assassin?

Ah I see, different person. Yeah, it's for the Shadow/Assassin class. Melee's get more CC breakers, obviously, because they have to run around everywhere.

These are the problems with CC as I have seen/felt them and have found via guild discussions I play a dps sage, scoundrel (dps and heals), and several alts.

First thing is that not all CC effects the bar. Knockbacks, talented roots, talented stuns, and a few others.

Second is that some classes get a huge array of CC abilities... more so the Consular ACs and their counterparts. While other classes get 1/3 of the CC abilities.

Third is countering CC. I learned this on my smuggler. On him I have the "break me out of anything" ability as everyone has, thats it. In one spec you can talent for dodge to break you out of "slow and moving impairment effects", however it only works on half of those types of abilities. Other classes get a crap load of things to counter CC (knockback is a CC and also a counter to a CC on you imo)

Some classes only have melee CC where others have many ranged ones. With the tech in this game there should be ranged CC options for melee as well.

Some classes get two interrupts while others get none.

The amount of resolve an ability gives is not equal across the board. On my sage I can use 2-5 CCs (talented ones included here that don't effect the bar) and on my smuggler I can use 1-2 CCs before capping the resolve bar.

Needless to say I love my sage because he owns in PvP and is OP as hell. Any Sage/Sorc who denies this is either bad or lying to themselves because they are afraid of nerfs. Nerfs happen, better we ask for some minor ones now instead of waiting till BW gets tired of all the QQ and slam us even harder with nerfs.

You need more?
Saying it's broken is putting it mildly. Sometimes the resolve bar works beautifully but most times it's next to worthless. I've been chain CCed from 19k to death(with my ability shield and shield generator kicking in) in a matter of seconds on a number of occasions when my resolve bar should have kicked in.

I'm more in favor of pure diminishing returns in this game, 1 CC for full, next CC put on you is half the time, next is half of that, next gives you CC immunity for a set time and then you go back to CC lasting the full length of time.

I don't think it's the variety of type of CC's, but that practically every other skill either is pure CC or has some sort of CC thrown in as an added bonus... and for pretty much every class. It's not like 1 or 2 classes is the "CC" class. Heck, I think all of the classes but the JK/warrior derivations have a minute long full CC. And at least one has TWO.

This. Resolve bar as all-or-nothing instead of diminishing returns is an awful design

All im gonna say is that all stuns must break on damage.

It is absolutely no fun to go from 100% to 0% without the chance to do ANYTHING.

Either do that or make everyone immune to CC if they are below 30% hp or something. As it is at the moment, its too much. It just isnt PvP, its slaughtering with the OP class of the month.

Instead of a sheep you get to play Dead or Alive - You Spin Me Right Round at someone. Or it's called Whirlwind or something. I don't remember which.
