That seems like common sense. You would have to be subnormal mentally to not understand this point.

If there was no maintenance, who knows what kind of crash would happen?

Be glad there's this kind of service.
In the business world, Unix servers are clustered and share the work, so only one of the clusters need be down and the system is still working, thus they have high availability.
Do you think banks, amazon and the likes dont do service, they do, and they can keep their systems hot. Its not that difficult,
I can't brain today...I have the dumb

Somewhat ironic we all evaluate our situation compared to the US east coast apparently.

It can be somewhat inconvenient. But there is no time on a global scale that isn't to someone.

All I can do while sitting here at my desk at the office is a continual face palm.

No one was complaining about maintenance, I was requesting they don't start it at 12am on the west coast

It's a paid service I had a expectation of availability comparable to other MMO's I've played, it's not so I canceled.

More so because you can't even raise the issue without being harassed than the actual maintenance. I feel no reason to pay a fee to be heckled for raising a customer service issue.

Do not dwell in the past, do not not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.

Expectations lead to suffering

You really have a concern? Really? Most east coasters are in bed by 12 am. Know why? Because most east coasters have something called a job that requires them to be up to perform around 6-7am. Most east coasters use that 6-7 hours to sleep.

I'm gathering the devs think you should also be in bed like the rest of us hard working Americans. Because they are [in bed sleeping] as well.

Except that those are different systems for different concepts. I'm not even sure why you're suggesting the same use for something completely different.
