You miss-understood, Wednesday maintenance is normally 4 hours, the fact this one was 7 hours was what made it longer than then normal.

Not that is was going to be longer than 7 hours.

Think it's more of a case were people who have played MMO's for years or actually say...function socially understand that patching has so many things that can go wrong not just from the programmer side but from the hardware tech side that we are able to cope better if the servers don't come up when estiamted to the first time......

They take the servers down once a week and give us a week's notice and they have no respect for us.

I imagine the downtime affects you very little, so of course you post things like this. East coasters love the maintainance times, west coasters are generally a little annoyed, EU players fairly annoyed and australians more annoyed. Why? because the more it affects you the more inconvenienced you are.

Personally im starting to get used to it, but then I play fairly casually anyways.

But in no way is his opinion any less valid than yours. And he's right (imo) to voice his concerns over a product he pays for. Thats how you effect change.
