Positive: that much aoe going out makes it hard for opponents to cap.
Negative: that much aoe is breaking your teams cc and making it hard to cap

Thats why I dont' hesitate to leave voidstar if it doesn't even smell right in the first 10 sec. As a melee, that warzone is usually horrendous for me since the other team always seems to be all sorcs and mercs.
And if your team is the same too, its kinda funny cause all you see is rocks and lightnign and tracer missiles, etc flying everywhere.

Some games I can't even LoS on the pillars cause you get shot at from literally every single direction.

Getting big numbers is more fun than the objectives in Voidstar.

Sorceress is able to perform MASSIVE aoe outputs, but I do not believe they are overpowered as a DPS or CC-machine. They are good in zergs, and almost all PVP is zerging.
Got 820 on my assassin, I had to work harder for it.

Oh and lol at the hate in this thread...you must remember that on the swtor.com forums you're not allowed to do damage. Winning = sub 100k dmg n00bs completing "objectives".

Lol so true. Most people seems to be baddies on the forum anyways. For example in Voidstar dmg indeed is one of the most important ****. Combine it with an epic healer or 2 and it's a quaranteed victory.

Also to those saying he lost, we can't know exactly how unlucky he was with who he got on his team.
