I live in Washington state it's 21 degrees tonight and it's raining you go outside in this crap.
seriously, look at what they are doing. this is a 7 hr patch, longer than most the others. they are starting it earlier, instead of running longer. they have figured out when it will effect the least amount of people. get over it.

What do you think happens when you play a Japanese MMO? East coasters get shafted. What your experiencing is exactly what I experienced when I played FFXI for 2 years. I loved the game, hated not playing for days, but that how it goes.

I'm sorry that your frustrated and hope you don't unsubscribe because of your disappointment.

Honestly I dont see why ALL SERVERS come down at once?

Why not downtimes starting at 5-6 am local server time?

So east coast servers go down at 5-6 am est
West coast servers go down 8-9am est
And other country servers down at 5-6am their local time frame.

I mean 3 am est is shameful for any north american time frame as many late night players are still going strong. Its not till 5am you start to see a dramatic decline in numbers.

And I still dont see why its so wrong to have downtime in the morning from 9 am to 12 noon, when people should be in school, at work (if day time hour job), or asleep (if working evenings or graves).

I dont get this downtime policy time frames but yeah, some countries downtime is at 6pm and thats so totally unacceptable on any front.

All round bad form and bad policy if you ask me.
In regards to lessening F2P and Preferred restrictions
In GAMING, as in LIFE,
You get what you pay for
No game restriction is so dire that $15.00/month will not eliminate it

although i play on west server,
this maintenance is no problem,
just fix the real major BUGS ,
why BW always fix minor things,
that's useless.
English is not my first language, still working on it.

I am Mountain time and 1 am is ok with me. Frankly, I need to be in bed by that time anyway for work the next day. It's nice to have a 1 am hard enrage for raiding.

I know it doesn't hurt anybody here, but ask european gamers how they feel about the maint. times

Imho it's quite difficult to find a perfect timeframe. Perhaps all servers should vanish into a big black hole, supposing that time stops there - as soon as servers would be ready they could be sent back to the normal space-time continuum and, tadaaa, everybody would be happy.

Well, the problem is: as time would stop, servers wouldn't never be ready. Eh.. and then there is the problem: how to send them there and: Would they "survive" the travel and even the impact? I suppose: no, but hey.. in the end this is a SciFi-game

As a NA player, I would be fine with down time while I am at work. What is the problem with that? Get home at 5 and servers come up? Sounds perfect.

Actually, we don't.

Most of us are in bed or headed that way at midnight.

On the way home from work, pick up a book or something.

Face it, this is a global game. No matter when they do maintenance, someone is going to cry about it and whine that it's unfair. It's impossible to make it 'fair' for everyone.

Of course I'm still bitter from when you announced maintenance, canceled it then had it the next day.

That was two days straight I didn't get to play....

Already considering canceling, I can deal with 2am maintenance but I don't even get home and chance to sit down till 10-11ish.
This is nothing compared to those in Europe and Australia. If BioWare catered to the West Coast times, then the Europeans and Australians would have an even rougher time.

I still like to hear from WoW players that "call in sick" on Tues only to forget that maintenance starts on Tues morning. NA WoW players have had the EU sched from the start, and they seem to do just fine with it.
