The fact they still lost proves that it was slower damage over time and not spike which means it was easily healed through which means he screwed over his entire team
God, shut up. He didn't screw over his entire team. It seems more likely his entire team screwed him over by not taking advantage of the massive damage he was putting out and underperforming themselves.

The answer to the question: "How can you do a million damage and still lose?" is "The other players on my team"

A person doing nothing else but spamming their basic attack will get it off 600 times during the course of an entire Voidstar match.

To get his numbers, he'd have to pull off 2,150~ damage each GCD. Not impossible. The part that has me thinking it's sketchy is when he says that he hardly uses AoE.

Also.... 10 buttons per second? Really? You're either mashing one button over and over until the ability you want goes off or rolling your face across the keyboard. Unless the 'ten buttons a second' you push go something like 'wwasdaww22.'

Overall, I'm still impressed. I'm just doubting the claims about how you did it and your need to express 'I can jam buttons that don't do anything due to global cooldown at 5 times the speed of the average person!'
What I meant with the 10 buttons per sec was to be read something like this: "I rather use 100 buttons per sec than 2 buttons per sec, cuz that's much closer to the truth."

I can't say precisely how many buttons I use, but I can tell you that all my fingers are occupied =)

I tend to focus players, Healers specifically, then on to the Tanks followed by the DPS.

I play a Pyro Powertech with Amazing AOE, I *rarely* break 500K though since I don't AOE much.

I hate losing, so so much. I'd rather do whatever it takes to win even if it is tunnel visioning one key player or two (e.g just healers) on the other team for most of the match and nothing else to properly allow my team to push a point or door and win.

You can only use 2 abilities within 2 seconds...I don't get what you are saying.

How are you even playing this game if you hate losing as much as you claim?

If you don't go in with the expectation/attitude "I'm going to lose every WZ that I'm going to join," you are in for a rough time. However, if you think you're going to lose every, an actual win is a delight and makes for great fun.

It's okay to have the attitude "I'm going to lose every WZ" if you are solo queuing. You have no control over your teammates and more than 95% of the time, my teammates end up being folks who would do very well in a PvP-deathmatch environment but have absolutely no concept of the word 'teamwork' and what it entails.

It also begs the question: who doesn't have the Huttball key bound to their keyboard? I think the majority and I'd love to have some actual numbers on that figure.

Mad respect to the OP for outputing such high amounts of total damage.

I'd suspect a lot of DoTs with PoM and procs as the playstyle outputs a lot of total damage, but is a tad lower in burst, which in Voidstar as mentioned is quite key.

His team was kind of weak as if a sorc DoTs everything, it'll slowly chip away at everyone's HP, and his team would need to keep the other team's healers occupied to ensure that everyone burns to death.

I would say overall the OP applie dsufficient pressure on the opposite team, but the rest of his team did not apply sufficient pressure to prevent the other team's healers from just healing up all the damage.

If the OP had decided to interrupt or apply more burst damage to the other team's healers, the OP may have won, but what's not to say that the other team's healers were really good at what they do and it wouldn't have mattered.

I've won games where I have gone 10 kills -13 deaths in Voidstar against a premade that wouldn't die, but couldn't kill our team fast enough, so we always had people spawn and throw our corpses on the door to win.

The achievement is impressive on it's own and stand on its own merit.

I know all those #'s at the end of the match confuse roughly 95% or more of you guys, but this is basically what happened in the match.

Lets call the OP player A.

Now player A is part of that 95%, poor guy has this belief that dmg totals are meaningful or represent something worth mentioning, sadly this could not be further from the truth.

Player A goes and he starts by putting dots on every opponent he sees, once he has stacked up the dots he then proceeds to use his aes on as many players and he can possibly hit, the reason for this is because he sees all those #'s flash on his screen and he feels pretty good about what just happened so he keeps doing it.

Player B however knows that the more dmg he does and less kills he gets puts him on par with some random new guy who bought the game a day ago and has never pvp'd before, most players B's will not tell player A how he is not actually playing his role, he does what a dps should do which is focus down healers asap then works his way through the hardest HITTING dps classes and finishes up with the tanks.

Player B knows full well that if he could do 300k dmg and kill 80 people that he just out played the guy who did 600k dmg and got 40 kills on the other side, player B doesnt care that you did twice his dmg because player B knows that killing people is how you win, killing one player in 6 seconds and then the next guy in 5 seconds is what gives him his pvp high and lets him know that he did his job.

Player A however doesnt learn this important fact and continues to make a thread about reaching an even higher dmg amount and does so under the misconception that its worth mentioning or something anyone would care about when in a way they do care because its a good laugh to see how confused this poor guy is.

In short the OP should continue playing how he is currently playing but he should roll a tank and treat his normal cast order of dot, dot, dot, dot but instead of using the dot he would hit taunt, taunt, taunt, taunt and he will become the greaest tank ever and he should post all about it in a new thread that we should all read and admire.

Nicely done matey! I myself play a powertech and Im shivering with joy and excitement if I end up close to 500k, cant even imagine doing 1mil.
Ignore the haters, they are just jealous.
Seeing this screenshot will boost the joy I get after repeatedly killing sorcs in the warzones, knowing I might have stopped someone on their way to a million and ruined their day. I am most grateful for this post!

But why so secretive on the spec?
