Premade vs Pug makes the „average“ player quit

So after reading all of these posts I have a short summary followed by a proposal:

1) People hate losing in general, for any reason.
2) People really really hate being greifed at the end of a match (e.x. team up 5-0 in huttball farming kills)
3) People that know each other, or can even simply talk across voice chat have a better chance at winning WZs than people who cannot/do not.
4) The main incentive for winning WZs is the daily/weekly quests rewards (pvp gear)
5) Secondary incentives are mostly irrational exuberance at beating someone else in a game.

So following the 2 assumptions that most people are rational and that they respond to incentives I would argue the follow things will or have happened:

1) Game launches and everyone is against everyone in pvp.
2) premade groups form and those people level and gear faster because of a higher win ratio
3) Pvp level brackets are introduced pushing most premades into the highest bracket naturally

4) Incentive to win daily/weekly matches to gain gear is removed to help non-premade players close some gear gap
5) Ranked WZs are introduced. Grouped queing is moved to ranked matches only and made world wide or crossrealm. Soloqueing is the only option for non-ranked play and remains only server wide. Rewards for winning ranked matches are both competition medals and unique asthetic gifts (titles/mounts). Soloqueing still allows gear progression.

So in theory the premades will naturally move to the competitve matches, and having the pool be world wide will allow for tournament play and keep the que times down. The solo ques will both be places to look for new recruits for future premades, and allow for gear progression.

The incentive to que solo is to get gear. The incentinve to go ranked and que premade is epeen.

That only leaves the griefers in question (the irrational players). Unfortunately you can't ever completely solve for them, but they likely will get beaten by good teams in the ranked ques and will be very spread out in the solo ques making their impact minimal.

This only works if SWTOR has the population to support it. The less people that are subbed and geared then the more you have to keep all these groups together to lower que times.

What do y'all think?

Or do you just want to farm 3 wins, then wait for rated warfronts like every other competent premade?

Most premades want competitive games. Like you said they've farmed the valor and gear. The only thing left is the competition. They're all waiting for rated WZ's.
Are you dumb? If you read everything you get exactly what they are trying to say. I agree completely. I am on the Crucible Pits and there is a certain guild or should I say republic faction that RUINs the game for the average PvPer. Not hating on them but they are ALWAYS running them and even if they aren't the opposing team has like 5 of them anyway. lol

All I want for PvP is actual Brackets and balance. With those will come fun and competition.

10-19 Bracket
20-39 Bracket
40-49 Bracket
50 Bracket.

The reason I put 20-39 is because 20 has their own set of PvP gear, may not be great but still. I mean you could do 10 lvl's for each one, might make more sense but w.e. I just want some kind of system where I am not fighting 40's at level 10. Yes I could level up and then pvp but why should I HAVE to? Why can't I be level 13 and fight others around my level with the same skill or knowledge of the game or their class and have the same amount of abilities? Of close to it.

Well said though OP. I agree!

I would recommend single player games for you ... like skyrim I hear the mobs don't qq

Also reread what I said in other posts, I support segregation of pvp as do most competent guilds. We can't wait for rated warfronts. Not only do we get competitive pvp, we don't have to hear casuals QQ about it. You obviously lack the reading comprehension to get past your own rage because the crucible guild touched you in places that would make a nun cry. Don't take your rage out on other people. Read what other people are saying.

Also most people would agree that the bolstering system is a nice compromise to not having long queues. I have multiple alts ranging from level 15 to lvl 47 and I don't mind the bolstering. Did you think maybe bioware put more thought into this than you? Maybe there is a reason why they do things? Critical thinking is an important life skill.

When im in a premade 95% of the time its total roflstomp. I actually feel sorry for other side. Like Qyzen would say "thers no honor in this". I can see "average" guy/gal on receiving end really not like that ( i dont particulary like that either, im in a premade somewhat 50% of the time).

But the nature of the game and grind involved lots of times i just want to be done with 3 wins for daily. shrug

This is the perception that you have.

What you are really seeing is 200+ players from guilds just trying to get their wf's done. Not some premade griefing others over and over and over again.

Believe me, we do our 3 then play on our alts. There is no point to end game pvp just yet. Also every game our premade plays is also against another premade and we take 4 pugs along for the ride. It's the same on both sides.

Lastly I bet you, you don't whine when you're on the winning side of a premade. Unless you're naive enough to think that only one side get's premades

Remember kids: If you're not winning at least 50% of the time, the only consistent variable is you.

Here's what happens every night.

I log on and solo que.

Get in a game, notice it's a heavy premade...rest of my team sees same thing. Shortly after that almost everyone on my team leaves because we all know that pre-made will get 5 caps then proceed to farm the endzone for full duration + to complete daily you have to WIN. Why bother when you know it's a wasted 15 mins only to get royally owned? Game ends in 120 seconds or people just cycle in and out all game long. Repeat every game.

Ok I get into a premade and it's autowin, as soon as other teams sees it's a premade they leave. I think out of 50 games in premade, we have lost only a few times and that's because we got faced with another premade which at this time is a super rare occurance.

Whenever rated WZ come out, it won't fix a thing. Those premades after getting their daily/weekly will be right back to PuG stomping. We all know no one likes to lose and loves beating down other players who stand no chance. That is what online gaming is all about! Pwning, taking names, and never ever fighting equals ftw!

If Premades are out ruining everyone's day on a regular basis, how come Premades don't get matched up against other Premades if there are so many of them?

Yes there are a lot of Premades out there and you probably just didn't notice that there was actually a Premade on your team when you got crushed by a different Premade, because the Premade on your team was weak. I think pretty much every game against the Republic on my server is a premade just because every weak player on their side has quit and rerolled, but we still win a good share of them even as total PuGs. And if the game stops matching our best premades against other in Huttball, we'd be able to win >50% comfortably even if it seems like every Republic game is against a premade.

lol, elitist thinks he is funny! Elitist thinks wrong! Elitist looks dumb.

I like casually pvp'ing and you like it competitively, does that make me bad? No, does the fact I haven't chosen a definite toon yet and I pvp at lower levels make me bad? No. Does the fact that I want brackets make me bad? No. Does the fact I insulted you make you mad? Yes, so you insult me. I apologize for that, I jumped to my conclusion after only reading your first post. That was wrong. I still don't think any of what you said has any merit though.

There is nothing wrong with being competitive. When you act like a pure elitist like your higher than everyone else it makes you look dumb, anyone who thinks it doesn't is probably just like you. Casual players should have a place just like the competitors. Give them one. They far out number you and your group of players in that Ivory tower!

Oh and yes, they did touch me in places I don't wanna think about, it was numerous players doing it too. It is the only way most "Competitive Guilds" can get kills/wins or be competitive is by NUMBERS, the zerg mentality. I already see flashes in SWTOR that WoW has, one giant zerg of a PvP system. Being good at it is like being good at flying a kite, people like to look at it, but nobody really cares. The ones who can go into a WZ, with a pug and beat a premade are the ones who really should shine.
