To any of those saying "just use the raidframes"... I'll go ahead and ignore the constant dropping of group members from the raid frames and say: ok, I'm a PvE tank, and I want to target a particular one in the middle of a pack because I know I'm about to lose aggro on it since I haven't hit it in a while... I'll just go ahead and click his nameplate... oh wait. I guess I'll tab to... ugh. Ok, maybe I'll try clicking his model in the group of 6 guys... Dammit. Guess I'll just wait until I actually lose aggro and it runs out of the pack, then I'll taunt. Hopefully he's not ranged, and he actually runs out of the group (otherwise I might not notice, since even if I could target him I can't see his target to actually know if I've got threat).

If you think target acquisition in this game is "just fine," you're probably only playing DPS.

That's what I want to find out. In that other game (and other similar games I've played), targeting people not in your group was/is easy. In this game it is terrible.

Absolutely YES. This is TERRIBLE not only as a healer—to which I have three—but DPS too. Very much signed. I'm glad others see this issue too as I thought it was just me being spoiled by previous games.

I agree, the targeting system is pretty useless. As a healer clicking raid frames works well (providing every1 is in it) but apart from healing it is useless.

In PvE the number of times I've died because tab has targeted an additional mob is rediculus.

In PvP, trying to click someone madly running around in circles is impossible and tab does not target the person you want. It can be possible to still use the raid frames for targeting your own side but in the heat of battle it is hard to know which one is the person you want to target.

This is something that BW really need to address or at least let us know that they are working on it.

Many, many kittens have died as a result of a errant tab-target.*

Not so much fun as a tank, either. There is no reason whatsoever for the UI to deny the players the knowledge of which enemies are targeting which players. Even in a bench clearing brawl in baseball you know which players are hitting whom. Tidy Plates in WoW got that spot on. Bioware should directly copy that system. Further, trying to pick up a small sized add while the giant sized boss' hitbox takes up half your screen with the horrible targeting situation could also be corrected with a tidy plates targetable (and scaleable) nameplate.
Yo. Droid companions need an operations vendor, too. My extra coms have to go somewhere, and I'd prefer SCORPIO to Kaliyo.

I miss healthbar/nameplate mods from WoW =(

I also think it's insanely hard to tell WHO you actually are targeting in this game sometimes. The little arrow is not terribly obvious in flashy PvP battles.

I also love how gigantic the raid markers can be, depending on mobs. As "the big red flame marker can appear to be 30 meters across" big

And you also sometimes lose your target, if it isnt anymore in your LoS... then it's a pain to retarget. Cant count the amount of fights or 1v1 I've lost because I had no target anymore
