If Bioware ignored the voice acting this game wouldnt have cost 10 million.
If this game is so great then why do so many people that love the game spend all their time in the forums?

Since you're the expert, just how much money do you think Blizzard has put into WoW over the last 8 years..including the original development cost?

Less then 200 million?

Here, I'll help you:

Blizzard spent $200 million JUST IN 4 YEARS with WoW:

http://www.g4tv.com/thefeed/blog/pos...lion-since-04/

and that doesn't include development cost or the last 4 years. (2008-present)

So I agree with you it wouldn't cost $200million for 10 years worth of development....it would cost alot more.

Meh... Fixing and adding new content to a live game would be a lot more costly and difficult compared to developing something without worrying about players, balance, servers, etc...

Then there is this... dated July 24, 2010. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1000...googlenews_wsj

Your link includes this particular line...

"According to Activision, Blizzard has spent over $200 million on World of Warcraft since its launch. The amount accounts to every staff personnel--from customer service representatives to the programmers. Kotaku reports that the company's customer service department is the largest among the staff, which shouldn't be a surprise considering there's over 10 million players worldwide."

I stand by my original statement.
"I like assassinating assassins. They always look so surprised."

You are completely ignoring things like paying for servers, bandwidth, maintenance, engineers, electricity, marketing, etc, etc, etc. Not even close to all that money was spent purely on development.

You are also forgetting how much money Blizzard MADE in that time off of WoW.

SWTOR still has a very health pop (anything over 300,000 is) and if they merged servers a bit it would be better still server-wise.
300k is not enough for this game! According to the statements from Bioware in their last investors call, they need 500k to just pay their bills and 1M to make a profit and have money for further expansions.

Given the lack of content and the way Illum plays though I would be shocked if their is a growth in actual subs.
What's wrong with Ilum now?
I'm on a PvE server and the PvP is great. All I see in the in-game general are people asking for invite to Ops pls. Are you mad? We, The Republic, are hunting you. We do not stand up to your numbers, we pick you off. We wing you. We win. You have your precious lightning. We have the force. Bring it to my server. I will teach you the ways.
