It takes 240k exp to level up your legacy the first level.

You get ~1/3rd of any normal exp you get as legacy exp. Starting at level 1 exp won't help your feeling of progression because you are most likely going to get your first level of Legacy around the level 20 - 30 mark.

It it not feasible to think that Legacy perks are anything like skills you get while leveling up normally, because the pace at which you level your Legacy leaves no room for excitement.

Think of it like having the exp to get to level 2 be 240k exp, and you only earn around 200 exp per quest and 2-5 exp per kill. You won't be thinking about the skills you'll be getting once you level, you'll be groaning at how long it is taking.

legacy level 19 here, thats with 2 50's and a few alts under 20.

i am really worried its gonna take high legacy levels to have anything worthwhile. We were recently talking about the legacy system in our guild and we all pretty much agreed with the amount of time those of us with multiple 50's have in the game that legacy level 20 or so will probably be the STARTING point to see any real benefits.

I really hope BW makes a sane decision with how to implement legacy and doesnt require insane amounts of playing time to see the benefits of it.

You realize that's insane, right? Any new players that start their Legacy will not be amused, to put it lightly.

Thinking that you need multiple 50s to START getting Legacy perks is absolutely ridiculous.

15 or so.

Since they recently nerfed xp gains past 20, I suspect that 20 will be enough to get most Legacy content, and after 20 gets you some kind of perks that don't have the impact of the pre-20 stuff.

read what i said, i agree with you. I Hope its not like that, but we have all played multiple MMO's and have a good idea of "time spent" to earn perks. Neither of my 50's are grossly geared, my juggernaut was first, hes in full champ gear and has some Tionese/columi stuff for pve.

my Operative just recently hit 50 and has some champ/cent gear and some columi gear from a couple of raids. I used my time to get the 2 classes i wanted to play to 50 right away, which its honestly NOT hard to get to 50, and now that i have them both at 50 i am doing more endgame stuff.

I think legacy level 5 would be a good starting point for benefits.

I just hope that it really makes leveling alts either easier, or somehow more entertaining. Maybe special quests that open up? Maybe being able to start an alt at level 10 and skip the two hour intro planet? Maybe having an alt as a companion?

Considering how long it takes to get your FIRST Legacy level, it's more plausible that you start getting things at either level 1, or 2.

Agreed. Is everyone forgetting that you dont start your legacy until 25ish? Then you must level it after?

I'm at 15 or 16 Legacy but I don't pay attention to it.
