I am having an error when launching the game
I get a window that says
Out of Range
H.Frequency: 99KHz
V.Frequency: 121Hz

Im wondering if this is a problem with my monitor or video card or something like that not being able to run the game and im just screwed or if there is something i can do to get in and play.

I'm getting the same error. I can hear the sound from the game but can't see anything.

ok. i fixed the problem. what you have to do is open the client_settings.ini file and edit the height and width to what you want. don't change the native ones. also make sure the refresh rate is set right. for some reason mine was set to 120 so i just set it to 60 and it's working now.

search for the file or go to C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\SWTOR\swtor\settings

I dont see a refresh rate in my defaults section.
When i open it; it looks like:

[Renderer]
Width=1680
Height=1050
WindowX=-1
WindowY=-1
FullScreen=true
doShadows=true
[Repository]
BaseResourceFileName=..\..\Assets\swtor_

Try this:when in black screen press alt+Enter!you should be able to see the graphics!login to the game go to preferences and graphics and change the refresh rate from 120 to one that suits your monitor!!70 is ok i think

Thank you sir, that seemed to work like a charm. Was able to lower my refresh rate and everything should be good now I hope
