Another question for you - at what point do you define something as a "premade" - more than one person queued together, only groups of 4, only groups of 8 (in the future, obviously)? Which queue would a group of 2 or 3 go into?

Speaking as someone who regularly queues both solo and in groups of all sizes, it's not as easy as it might sound even as a 4. It's an advantage but not an automatic "I win" button. An 8 would be a lot closer to that, for sure, but as it stands right now you're still rolling the dice for 50% of your team.
Two people is usually okay. Yes, a healer tank combo is nasty, but they can be nasty without communicating through vent. When you start organizing a group on vent, first, they have an advantage pug players don't, since we don't have built in voip in this game. Second, three or more players in an 8 man is definitely enough to tip the balance if they're really coordinating.

Admittedly, two can as well, but as I pointed out, they can do that without having ever laid eyes on each other before. So to speak.

Also, one reason I don't want to do premades and one thing I can sympathize with you about is getting stuck with four randoms to go with your four. I wouldn't want to do it either. If I ever do premades it will be full premade against full premade, not this half and half nonsense.

Yeah, but they're never going to agree to that because they like beating up PUGs too much.

But I totally agree with you. Premades are becoming a serious problem on all servers as they are seriously annoying the majority of PvPers (who aren't using premades), and if it continues, the premades are going to find no one to play with.

So what's better, premades? Fighting other premades and seeing how REALLY good you are? Or a dwindling number of PUGs to fight as people simply lose interest with being farmed over and over and over again, day after day?

I enjoy playing against premades while pug:ing, as it offers more challenge compared to pug vs pug. Few times managed to "humiliate" premades with latenight pug group and damn it was alot fun.

As someone said premade is not insta win because "thing" between chair and keyboard plays huge role in outcome.

What is so hard to understand that most of time premades with TS or Ventrilo ruins FUN for casual players ??? It seems you prefer to roflstomp pugs with no challenge at all , its like kindergarden kids against profesional army....you want to play as premade do it against other premades , just implement solo que and group que...thats all

It seems that Bioware listens to multiple threads day after day on the same issue, so let's ramp up our nerf premades suggestions.

However, I don't want premades to be UP, so I propose cross server warzones first so they can get games. Against each other. Not against pugs. Which is how it should be as they have no real competition in pug matches.
Why should we not be allowed to play with friends and enjoy the game, which we are paying for, to play as we want?

I join warzones with a few friends but often we just split up, we have fun on teamspeak and just chat while playing, and yes when we stick together we do wrecking ball.
But its part of PVP since dark age of camelot.

You need to have a team.

And honestly, it takes around 5 minutes to get a few people together for some games.

A group of people playing together though is NOT a premade.

A premade is when you have a group together that communicate over teamspeak, skype or other methods, and have ensured they cover the classes necessary for a win (tank, heale + 2 dps or tank, dps, and 2 healers) as an example.

Most of the so called "premades" in this game are just people playing together for fun.

And I say again, the amouont of new pvpers in this game is staggering.
And its clear that this OP have never, ever, played pvp in another mmo or this thread would never be started.
And its not a problem, its a learning curve, and many of you new to PVP in SWTOR will have to pull your socks up, read up and dont think you know it all by yourself, watch videos and listen to those, or us, that have been doing pvp for 10 years or more in various games.
The difference is huge.

Yesterday I had a 1vs4 fight and I beat 4 players, that was actually playing in a premade.
So I, soloed a full premade.
The outcome? They didnt know what they was doing and was just playing for fun.
Big deal, I dont brag about it, I was surprised myself and I think they was too.
Its on a scoundrel btw, and yes the class needs some buffs but in able hands most classes melts.

The only problem I have is when we face premades with 4 sorcs that team up and likely get into a match with yet another sorc and maybe 2 merc tracer spammers.
Thats just gg.

Other then that, learn to play for fun, learn to be more skillfull and dont think you know it all.

Good luck

Why is it so hard to understand that teamwork does not require VOIP, ingame chat is just as good in most situations and almost as good (a second or 2 not fighting to type "help east" or "4 inc west") in others as voice chat.

Heres an idea, just a thought, brainstorming here.

Get in fleet and round up 3 other players, invite them to your vent, or theirs it doesnt matter. Have fun together and BS on vent while playing as a team. The game is much more fun that way. Or que up solo and take you chances using chat. When you que solo you get in there with alot of other lonewolves like yourself and noone cooperates, to many chiefs not enough indians. In voice you know the people there want to play as a team and do so.

Get in voice or **** imo.
