We'll have to wait and see. We don't know what's coming with the legacy system, so it's all a guessing game other than a few perks. I still wish the legacy system was across all servers like I thought it was before launch.

Will be interesting to see if you can roll a Pureblood sith smuggler for instance or any other odd char combo

That's what it seems like they're doing and I honestly hope that they prohibit that kind of stuff on RP servers. They're already non-RP to begin with. I can only hope that they won't make it worse.

Well if the person playing the char has a good background as to why they are what they are, then there's no real problem for RP.

That's wonderful in theory, but that never happens. More than likely, it's not an RPer that plays a Sith Pureblood Smuggler; it's the "I play on RP servers for this or that reason" type of person.

Otherwise, if there's a decent story and lore-abiding essence to the character, then go for it. It'd be interesting to see something like that, but it's just begging to be overused and further unregulated.

Well, it's hard to regulate character/race choice without coming across as pompous really.
I used to play on the RP-PVP WoW server Defias Brotherhood and we had pretty good name enforcement going on helped by the mods, but restricting a choice of race would be too fascist really.

I don't consider it fascist because it comes with the territory. When playing on an RP server, one should be expected to play by the rules. It may make me pompous, but I'm a huge advocate for reporting non-RP names that I see running around. I do it constantly. I report loads of players on my RP server that I wouldn't on my PvE server simply for the fact that there are different rules and expectations.

I see what you're saying, but I just disagree. I want more RP out of the RP servers and it doesn't seem like that's going to happen. I'll be sure to do my best to chip in, though.

This exact thing is what drives people to roll on rp-pvp servers not to roleplay, but simply to get away from the godawful stupid names that are out there.

Why would those names matter? Its not hindering you experience to play the game.

Just ignore and move on, not that big of a deal.
