And as the person stated, it was resolved. Those vids are old.

Your trying to hard, Shady. Practice is good, though.

I see one load time/per planet.

That's it. Really.

If you are switching planets every 10 seconds. Then yes you are going to see a lot of load screens.

Which take 1minute or less. For me

On a 12 meg service. While Running youtube/streaming t.v shows online. Via a dual monitor.

I have above beyond system. I didn't ability delay. At all.

I don't have any FPS issues either. I run into fleet with 100people plus running around and my system doesn't go below 50fps.

So the engine isn't broke.

Perhaps nitpicking at everything little thing, defending your WoW/Rift/Aion until you turn blue, getting upset because people have opinions saying, SWTOR is better.. and then calling people who like the game and defend it "fanboys" like that is some hurting insults that proves that we are wrong.. But.. its ok for you to defend WoW until your dieing breath, while you turn blue in the face, waaving your epeen around, throwing sticks and stones at people.

If you are having issues. I'm Sorry... truly I am. That is something for customer support, not the general forums, where you can scream your face off, and call people fanboys for having an opinion.

The game works perfectly fine for me. I don't mind the 1 load screen I have for each planet I visit. And I enjoy the game.

If you do not like that.. the you can go to Account- Unsub- and close the door.

I'm sorry you did not enjoy your gaming experience, but you are truly missing out.

Good day sirs.

I don't need to be there: an unproven and old game engine from a tiny company isn't a good choice for a $100m+ MMO. This isn't rocket science, this is project management 101. We do have the benefit of looking at the game engine market from a 2012 perspective and it looked different in 2008 when they selected their engine. But given what HeroEngine hasn't done it's hard to argue that BW made a good decision.

I'm not seeing where this engine has any respect. It's all hype and the only hype is because BW chose them and not because of anything about the engine itself. It hasn't had a single successful game launched using it. You earn respect in this industry. It doesn't come from sales literature or feature lists. Gamebryo has a long list(300+) of successful games. CryEngine was used by Aion and guess what, it supports DX10 and DX11 unlike HeroEngine. Even BigWorlds has a bunch of game launches behind it. BTW, HeroEngine isn't new. It was announced back in 2006. Five years without a successful product.

I can also imagine the work needed to make the game as I've actually worked with game engines. I've modified them, wrote scripts for game logic and build game environments. Mostly low end engines or engines developed in-house. Most engines come with tool sets. The quality varies greatly. Some things like models and game logic you're going to need to make no matter what. With models you use something like 3d Studio MAX and with scripts just use your favorite editor. Even with the best tools any game and especially an MMO are a lot of work.

Again this isn't a new engine it's an old one. You see it with the lack of multi-core support and lack of DX10/DX11 support.

I think you're confused about the 'quick and easy' route. HeroEngine is the 'quick and easy' route. A proven engine is more money and more work. Take for example, CryEngine 3, which is from early 2009 (and announced about three months after BW chose HeroEngine), has more features and over 20 online games have licensed it. The quality of that engine blows HeroEngine away.

I'm not sure why you defend their engine choice. Graphically SWtOR isn't anything special and we're already seeing issues with FPS and action response times. I'm sure the BW and HeroEngine devs will fix or improve the issues over time, but to me it's a problem that has kept me from playing the game and is very likely going to result is lost subscriptions.

Just to be clear I want SWtOR to be the best MMO ever and I like the game itself. I just think they made a bad decision and their success will be more of a challenge because of it. The game had the largest MMO launch ever and is mostly playable so it's not a failure. You make a bad decision and you deal with it the best you can.
+1...

Nice to see you watched none of the videos. Please go back to your secret underground Bioware Defense Force base, the blind defending of this game is making me weary.

It's been real but the game just wasn't worth the sub for me anymore.

/sigh

I'm sorry you are filled with such rage, Shady. I no the game isn't perfect, but it has improved quite a bit post-launch.

I hope you are enjoying the hate and anger built in you.

Tis sad really, you were such a nice young kid.

If you're going to pull something from Simutronics, Bioware should have copied DragonRealms. Combat (and socialization, for that matter) is much better in that game.
The wise masters claim that sound does not travel through space, so I continue to blow up Imperial Fury interceptors just to prove them wrong.

maybe but someone did point out that it mgiht not jsut be Hero causing the issue, since it all a combonation of hardware, drivers, OS,apps, netowrks,NOS and Game servers. any minor glitch, incompiblity or the like anywere in the chian can cuase isuses ranging form lag, crashes, locks up, booting, etc.

i'm a Starting IT guy so i could make the list bigger but wanted to keep it simple for gernal use ^^

now that have appros 1.7 millioin users it not going to be a shock that there a few 1000s with errors and i'm sure tehy working on ironing the gernal ones down the best they can.

a sample.
me and my gf both play FF11(yes a older MMO) she on a laienware lap top, runs fine, i'm on a best of a desk top. however randome my FF11 will act up and cause a game client reset. same OS, Same game, Same vid drivers(both nvidias), 90% the same, only big diffrences is my key baords, mouse, models of cpu and gpu. could be a drive conflict on my side and been narrowing ti down, happends alot less now but still there. can i figure why it happening? not really, but i'm not a high end programmer.
Server: Shadow Hand ; Char: DarkCarnage SW
Guild: Hellions, i'm pretty easy to find, jsut follow the path of dead bodies, kocked up Sith ladies and crying Impiral soilders, bwhaahhaha.
