I am getting 30%-35% GPU load while in hangar of ship
Getting 2%-6% GPU load while in fleet, ya its optimization issue.

I have AMD 64 2X Dual Core 6000 @3ghz
Gigabyte motherboard with 4gigs of ram
Win7 Home Version 64bit
EVGA GTX 560 TI 1gig
Play everything at 1680x1050

I usually run at 40-60 fps questing (everything high cept shadows)
in WZ 10-20 (everything high cept shadows)
Illium? Raid fest? 1-3fps, at Minimum everything with rez of 1280x768

Yet THIS guy from stream..
http://www.twitch.tv/towelliee
Has intel system with same vid card as mines and 4xtra gigs of ram, and i witness him play Illium, at max settigns, having 50+ players on screen, WHILE STREAMING, 20-30 fps..

Please Bioware fix this

Ever since today's patch I seem to be having this issue. I have an AMD processor and have over 90% GPU usage with over 80 fps in my hanger with nobody around. However, when I join a warzone my framerate drops to around 10 fps and my GPU usage drops to somewhere around 10-20%.

Here's my DxDiag, and hopefully this gets fixed soon. Not going to subscribe to an mmo that isn't playable when other people are near me.

I made a post like this, BW doesn't respond. They don't want you telling people about this!! They just want to sell more copies. Subs are for the sissies at Blizzard! Here at EA we just want you to buy the box and a game that doesn't work.

Who do you think we are Blizzard? You want a game that works on something short of a NASA computer?? Blizzard or go home.

Blizzard is the only game company that actually tests it's games. Sadly for me I won't ever play WoW again, so the MMO genre is just dead for me. I don't think even if they fixed this game at this point I would come back due to the poor treatment I have recieved from their CS and the fact that they won't admit there is a HUGE PEROFRMANCE PROBLEM!!

Just like Warhammer. EA just fails at MMO's

I will update this post later with screenshots of my cpu/gpu load.

Windows 7 Home 64 bit
Nvidia GTX 470
AMD Phenom II 1090T 6 Core processor @ 3.5 Ghz
Gigabyte 890 Mobo
6GB DDR3 @ 1333 ram.

10-25 fps in warzones ( GPU usage 10-20% cpu 20-30% )
1-8 fps in Ilum ( GPU usage 1-10% cpu 20-30% )
Fleet ( 12-30 fps, GPU = 1-10% cpu 20-40% )

This game is CPU intensive. While CPU is not being able to calculate everythign on time, it drops frames so GPU have "free time", cause it doesnt have anything to render (waiting for frames from CPU, while it sends them slower).

I wouldnt advice any CPU other than i5 2500K or higher for swtor.

Look at the processor benchmarks on Tom's Hardware of a high end AMD and an equivalent Intel processor. Intel processors of equivalent price blow away AMD processors. Look at i5-2500k vs 1100t. Its no even close.

So I think this may be an issue of hardware being that much better is why Intel processors kill AMD processors in this game.

I'm pretty sure something is seriously wrong with the way the game is coded. Prior to patch 1.1.3 my AMD processor was able to run this game just fine. Now I get 80 fps in my ship and less than 10 fps in warzones. My GPU usage is also constantly at around 98% in my ship, which doesn't seem necessary and makes the temp go higher than it does while playing games that are actually graphic intensive. Apparently my GPU has to work so hard while I'm on my ship that TOR decides it can have a break in warzones and only work at 10% capacity. I blame Bioware, not AMD.
