i approve of this, that being said ... this is how it was in swg, and 90% of ppl took double sided sabers, afterall it's just plain cooler

A lot of people stuck with double sabers would switch to single saber any time of the day, I assure you
Personally I'm a single saber freak. I'd use it with every force sensitive class.

It's not just lightsabers anyway. A desire that has been widely expressed on the forums is to be able to use rifles as a bounty hunter.

Ironically a legacy-based system addressing this issue would have some funny similarities with two characters from the movies: Jango and Boba Fett. Jango comes before Boba, and uses two pistols. Boba, as a Jango legacy character, unlocks the carbine. XD

Who wants to be like everybody else in this game?

I say no to homogenization.

I wouldn't actually mind seeing some variation in overall fighting styles. Examples, Underhand saber style (starkiller, ahsoka) 1 handed fencing/dueling style (vader, count dooku) swg offered a couple of these at least, would be nice if swtor does it too

While it would be nice, it's too late to make a change like this. The game has already been designed around a very rigid weapon choice for each class.

Personally, I would have preferred another way. But Bioware made it simple in the hopes of being able to balance the game easier (why they have mirrored classes as well).

I'd love to see it as a cosmetic change as part of the Legacy I am a little nervous that Legacy is geared entirely towards alts, as opposed to developing the identity of your character.

Something ELSE I'd love to see Legacy do is to be able to change your default 'combat ready' stance to one of the guard stances from the seven Forms. No need to change actual combat and reanimate it; just change the combat ready stance. That would be sweet.

Why? Just make the base weapon cosmetic, all damage comes from the skills and the mods you put in it.

NAh, I'd pick 2 sabers for one character (now has one), a single saber for one who has one now, and one of my companions would get 2 sabers instead of a double. That is all.

Maybe we can build a COMMUNITY on the forums and in the game.

I support being able to wield the lightsaber style of my choosing. Making it an unluck through the Legacy system seems cool too.
