I wanted a Jedi that only uses blasters and BH armor, with stealth.

I call that "immersion"...

That's how you win an argument amazing exaggeration of your opponent.

But you didn't mention the instant level 50 button the op obviously wants!

I support the idea.

the massive limitations in SW:tor are crazy. (imho)

i do miss stuff like 1h/2h too, i read a bit about lightsabers on some wikis and theres much more then the stuff implemented. anyway, one choice per class is not much choice and with weapons beeing orange most of the time while leveling i dont see much against it.

Well you CAN play a Marauder with just one lightsaber, go ahead. You dont have any restrictions, if you want to look "cool".

Also, SWTOR is "very similar" to WoW, so it has this kind of restrictions. Its just the game its designed.

This is a great idea...

Allthough, I guess, If you could chose which lightsaber style to have, you will then have to make it possible for the likes of the smuggler to have a rifle, and a trooper to have a Pistol. To make this customisation fair across all classes.

You would still have limitations, like the trooper should still be the only one to have the big repeater thing... And the smuggler be the only one to Duel wield...

Its definately something that needs adding. Its a small change that I think will please a lot of people...

The small change is redesigning abilities and loot.

I feel like this would add greatly to the immersion in the game and also allow everyone to have just that much more customization when they're making a character that is unique to them.

Any thoughts or additions or further detail anyone would like to add? Would anyone like to see this feature?

So you are saying you want to change the choice made as you leveled and the concept choices of the game that you made due to how it looks?

Ok... well, even though this is a game... IT is a game based on choices made having a outcome and understanding.

Stats wise and appearance and function... from cool down's and how things look I think it would be a mistake.

I like knowing my CLASS I CHOSE... and SPEC I CHOSE matters in how I like and want to look.

(This is logical of course)...

IF NOT JUST unlock it all and I will be just like DARTH VADER AND COME KILL YOU... K thx...

(see what I did there?).....

Take away the rules/set concepts/ and you have not just a little.. but a wide open desire.... If you want what you posted then I want it all... to be stronger then you are based on my looks alone. Yep... why not...

Cosmetics affect no one but yourself.
Yeah I am with you there - I don't like how everyone at 50 looks, acts, walks, talks the same. The outfit stuff should open up a little more, the social gear is kinda cool and can make you look somewhat unique.

With the sabers - why do some people care, like Waz said it's purely cosmetic, your stats and dps will all be character/gear based. So what does it matter if I am swinging a broom, vibrosword, 2 sabers, 1 saber, etc etc...

Someone said everyone here would have double sided sabers....soooo?

Look at any Imp server, 70% of them are Sith Sorcs (Myself included because I wanted to see what the hype was about) - and at 50 they all look the exact same. If they could all have something like a weapon that seperated them from the other cookie cutter Imps/Reps why not?

Im for it (always have been) but im not going to say YEA!DO THAT without some quality work put into the animations behind it. I figured Legacy would be an excellent way to bring this in. You played Biowares classes as designed from 1-50, and your "legacy character" gets more choices. (like this one) That I can go for but I wouldnt ask Bioware to do it all shotty and just say ok, here use this, use that, go play. You know, let them bring it good so there is no complaint and no issues with playing this way.

To sort of expand on this for those who dont know or dont get it. During beta many of the testers agreed and many of course disagreed that it would be cooler to for instance, let a bounty hunter use a sniper rifle, or a carbine, an operative use a pistol, jedi to use sabers of their choices ect ect and so on. The way I looked at it was like, you get more variety and personalization out of your characters, Of course it was beta and you cant really expect Bioware to make sweeping changes let alone deviate rom planned design so..

Anyway point being, post launch here and legacy around the corner, with so many sandboxers out there and themeparkers alike, you sorta kill two birds with one stone without totally going against what you originally planned. I talk legacy because thats a good place for this. Requires no story alterations. May require some reward tweaks and of course animation work, but all in all its a good direction imho.
