Cosmetics is a reason. You don't have to like it.
Troopers in jedi armor and jedi in trooper armor is already happening. Just saying. There are also bounty hunters with juggernaut pieces, and marauders with a light armor chest piece for the hood.

Bioware says purple armor mods will be transferrable soon.

SO yeah, we COULD see jedi in a full set of trooper armor soon (there is plenty of orange obviously trooper armor out there with no restrictions)

Color crystals for the most part are a free choice.

Cosmetics affect no one but yourself.

I know! And it's as absurd looking as a sea of Jedi who all have red saber-staves.

Choice is great. Unlimited choice is terrible.

You keep saying that like it's true.

You keep saying "If it's not stats effecting, then everything should be allowed." This is your opinion, and it's a bad one.

Assassin: Why the hell did you roll need on that double bladed saber? The stats don't even work for you.

Marauder: It looks really cool and Ill just swap out the mods with my current saber.

Yea we need even more of this stuff going on.

You make no argument otherwise.

Your only argument so far has been "it will look silly".

We already have jedi running around in trooper armor with red crystals and troopers running around in robes. The worst has already been done. Lightsaber style choice is a good thing where those are bad.

Just the same, the assassin could roll on whatever the heck ligthsaber they wanted.

I'm not even saying we disrupt the "rolling balance" that already exists. It could be as simple as a legacy option or something that lets us display using a double bladed lightsaber, even if we only use one or whatever.

Then we're in agreement! I don't want unlimited choice, I just want, within the class, some kind of small set of options I can pick from, tailored to the class, that make sense lore wise, but do not force me into a very specific mold.

I find the funniest thing being my Trooper couldn't use a blaster, just some sort or long long gun, yet there are cut scenes where I have a blaster strapped to my leg, and even ones where I pull it and kill someone.
So WHY can't I equip one?????

Yeah I did. It's above. It would make the world look even stupider than it already does.

Again, "It's not stats, so who cares?" I do and, apparently, Bioware does. Repeating "But it's not stats!" doesn't suddenly make your point of view somehow objectively right. It isn't.
