And last night all save for about 6 were Standard/Heavy.

People work, go to school, etc.

Trying to say the game is dying because servers are light at 9am (my time) is just horrible trolling.

I enjoy SWTOR.

HATED GW.

GW2 is going to flop...all they have to do is get you to buy it once then they won't care.

And there is much more to do than grind.
If you can't figure that out then maybe MMOs aren't for you?

The game has a lot more to offer than most MMOs on the market, but it's one of those love it or hate it games. That is, after playing for thirty days, you either love the game or you hate it. There seems to be very little middle ground.

GW2 and D3 are around the corner, but they aren't likely to cause many people to quite playing TOR. Being completely free, people will pick up those games and play them along side a sub based game.

TERA and TSW are the only promising sub based MMOs coming out in the near future and both specialize in a very small market. Both look good (and having beta tested TERA I can say it isn't bad at all), but neither will appeal to a large block of players. TERA plays too much like a console game and the Korean feel to it will put off a lot of folks, even if it is a pretty game. And TSW is a modern sci-fi/horror setting. Again, not a huge following in the MMO community (at least, that we know of). I'll play both games, but they won't pull me away from TOR.

And since I expect 1.2 to launch fairly soon (another month or so), stabilization issues to be resolved and ultra/high-res graphics to be re-implemented in TOR before long, I suspect a lot of those who have left will come back to give it another look. Not to mention a fair chunk of new players. Especially if a free trial is put out there.

Honestly, something TOR could benefit from could be a limited "free" version of the game, where players can reach a max of level 10 and be restricted to their class' starting world. Since those planets are instanced, it shouldn't result in overcrowding and it could get a lot of people to test the game out. But I'd wait till after 1.2 and the high-res graphics go back in.

Actually, I wasn't trolling at all. I just never put Euro's up because counting the NA servers made my eyes hurt. I just added them.

Actually, GW2 has a harder time than SWTOR when it comes to making money.

They make their money off expansions. People aren't going to go out and pay 60$ for an expansion to a game they don't like.

Here, SWTOR make money monthly.

It's in ArenaNets best interest to keep the playerbase happy and well-stuffed with content, so they'll go out and buy the expansion packs.

GW2 is a small party repetition grinder, it looks to be a pretty wretched product. Fun game play, but at the end of the day you just spin your wheels.

Yeah...you are trolling...cause every night at prime time almost all servers are standard/heavy/full and there are times during the weekends where EVERY server is standard or higher.
