I think BW screwed up when they made all the non-force heavy armor wearers use the AIM stat. Which is all fine and good, when it comes to BHs/Troopers, but then they forgot that there are many Companions that wear that same heavy armor (and thus use the AIM stat) but they are melee.
TORtanic indeed. It's just like that movie that was hugely successful and made boatloads of money.
This is an MMO. Whether you play with or see the other players is irrelevant to that fact.

You can barter for Orange Vibroswords no problem.

Orange Techblades simply dont exist.

Neither do orange Wirsts & Belt for JK Sentinels.

Fix these bugs please Bioware!
The Force will be with you, always.

Ignore the trolls, the OP has a valid point.
Why should one class have an advantage over another in any situation?
I'm biotech and need loads of red goo and mutagenic paste. If I just use companion missions and farming nodes I can't keep up with my use for crafting,if I buy off the GTN the prices are just crazy and the amounts are too low so I farm them for myself.

It doesn't matter if they have, or will, nerf the drop rates from mobs I'll likely still spend 3 to 6 hours every 2 days farming for my mats. Now consider a guy with a maxed out orange companion weapon versus me with Tanno Vikk,it may not seem like a huge difference and be "on a par" with others but if I kill 2 or 3% slower and have to spend 3 - 5% longer healing up than someone with a fully equipped moddable companion weapon that adds up over those 3 - 5 hours and I'm the one at a disadvantage.

We don't want to make our companions OP,we just want them to be equal to other peoples and we want the chance to use the companions we've been given for the jobs they were intended to do.

Moddable tech blades are not in the game. Please do make a point of linking to a screenshot of one should you find one (though I will point out that no one who thought they saw one to date has been correct... so, for what that's worth).

Thank you all for the posts... please help keep this visible as an issue; it is something that seemingly affects both Empire and Republic, is directly difficult for the Consular Seer (healer) in particular, thus I assume for the parallel Empire Sorcerer, and generally deserves to be fixed so newcomers as well as the rest of us can settle into the experience as it was intended (from all developer statements to date; open to corrections here, so if anyone has them, please do link to them).

You saw ELETROSTAFFS im pretty sure which are the shadows of Double-Blade Lightsabers (and have willpower). I've looked and there is no modable techstaff on the DromKaas com vender.

Thanks, Odincore; my alt Empire side hasn't had time to level up enough to get there yet.

This issue is unfortunately only for the Consular not the Sith Inquistor, since Khem Val (the equivalent to Qyzen) uses strength. This further is annoying when you consider synthweaving as your profession as I pointed
out here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=289178
and here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showt...205107&page=11

Thanks for sticking with this post. It is kind of annoying also for leveling, the first weapon upgrade (=green) for Qyzen I got in the middle of Taris (well except buying something). Since then it got better, but before I was pulling aggro as a healer... :-(

If you refer to the first page, it is reported that all aim-based melee companions are experiencing this issue. I do not (yet) know if the Empire Sorcerer has an aim-based melee companion, but I had assumed so since it seems there are frequently many parallels between the sides. Probably my error, but it remains this is not just a consular issue (see first post for all the companions who experience this problem).

Thank you for the post.

I know, it is all aim-based Melee classes, the whole "fun" is that Qyzen was (according to some not secured beta info) switched from strength to aim. I have a Sith Inq. Heal at level 30. Equipping Khem is no problem compared to Qyzen. The mirror classes do not always seem to be perfectly mirrored, which is ok, but it should be handled properly.... I assume from a technical design point BW started with having them fully mirrored, but then changed them later from a more Lore based view point and did not took enough care on the implications with the aim based melee classes. This is why considering fraction balance the whole thing should get much more attention from BW and not just be done in some future patch in the year 2043. :-)

Add Akavi Spar to the list too.

But it is so bad how they never made good weapons for these types of stats, and they put those types of weapons into the game too :<.
