My PC has almost the same specs as the OP's original rig (except RAM) and I get about the same framerates as the OP's new rig, what's up with that?

Come on people, this is supposed to be a game that they (and I) hope we will be playing for years to come. I would much rather have them build the framework for advanced graphics now, then have to re-write the game years later just so they can keep up with the graphics of the time. Investment people, thats what this is. And if nothing else, you get yourself a decent machine that doesn't feel like a snail.
read all the posts before posting your garbage, otherwise you look like dummy.

The sad thing is my Q6600 with 4GB RAM, Radeon HD 6670 and 550W Corsair power supply work fine in almost every area EXCEPT using speeders and when it seems like the game has to stream new content in while loading. Everywhere else except for warzones (which I have yet to try) the game runs at between 35-50 fps.

Then I hop on a speederbike or taxi to travel and I might as well be watching a slide show.

Oh well, my computer is primarily a Photoshop/Maya workstation and it performs these tasks like a champ, so I won't be purchasing a new PC just for a game.

Maybe with an extra 4GB RAM and the RAM drive solution...

Your old system is better than my current system, and are both from the same 'era' of around 2007ish with the exception of the GPU. I run a dual core E6850 3.0 ghz on a 680i MOBO and 460 GTX and your old setup performed worse than mine does, when by the numbers it should have been performing better.

That said, I have more performance issues in SWTOR than other equally intensive games. There are definitely issues on BW's end. We're not talking about rare isolated incidents here, we're talking about common gripes. That said, my g/f has a newer computer and the game runs great, even though she's already given up and canceled because of the terrible planet and world PvP design.

Sorry but i dont believe it.

Warzones: 70-100 fps all settings on HIGH including shadows

If you can post a fraps with the settings + framecounter on while "playing" in a warzone and not dropping below 70 i buy it, but now? Nope...

Was having troubles on my 5 year old machine. Bought a new laptop (LAPTOP) for 800 bucks (HP had a killer deal on what is essentially a 1200 dollar laptop thats still going on btw, pavilion dv6). Now I play the game with absolutely no issues whatsoever. Its not the client, its the setup. Also, most people dont realize it, but sound is one of the more intense portions of this game atm. If your sound drivers/chipset arent good, its going to crash an awful lot. My bf turned off all the sounds but voices and now never has any issues, whereas before he crashed every 5 minutes.
Wow was copying Mario Brothers in every respect.
-A world (or many worlds)
-the color red in game
-you have to buy it

so you dont know what really fixed your problem... you might just have needed to get a new hard drive and reinstall a fresh copy of the game... for all we know any that downloaded the beta game might have .dll problems...

This game has PISS POOR graphics. Before you disagree, have a look in game at your characters clothing. Go on. See that? Low res. I could paint better in paint! Yet even with PISS POOR graphics this game runs like I'm playing on a toaster. Funny how I can run WoW faster with HIGHER quality textures. Funny how I can play BF3 on MAX settings at a steady 40+ FPS.

Fan boys this one you can't win. The evidence is right in front of your eyes.

Funny you would say that my toaster runs it just fine.
