I don't think it is a legit source. That's my own opinion. It can't possibly display 100% accurate numbers

BUT

Haters love to use it as "proof" the game is dieing despite logic and reason. So I figure if you can't beat them... use the club they beat you with to beat them.
I only get paid when I survive. I like getting paid.

Unfortunately for us EU players, EU version of the server stats (http://www.torstatus.net/shards/eu/stats) show significantly more servers with negative movements than positive ones. So for EU servers, torstatus suggests that server populations are declining overall.

According to Torstats it would seem that the US servers' gain is equalled by European servers' losses. Guess us Euros must have taken more of an exception to having loss of game time during the middle of the day than I thought

Tis a good day.
This just means more people have been hitting 50 and are afk'ing/waiting for queues on the fleet because there is no reason for them to be anywhere else.

As a previous poster mentioned, alot of Sith Guilds have rerolled republic in order to help with server balance. Some of us are even playing both sides, one for pvp and one for pve, just to get a good mix.
What they need to do is stop trying to "balance" for PvP and publically state the obvious -- that PvP is a mini-game in a MMORPG.

I've seen a marked increase in my server population over the last couple of weeks. I can't speak for anyone else, though.
