The thing that most of us are complaining about is that with this change, there really is no other viable option for the Enhancement slot. Ther aren't any DPS Power enhancements to replace the near useless 200 surge rating most of the higher geared players are sitting on.

The nerf applies to everyone, stop the whining ffs. When BW reduce surge for everyone it doesn't really matter does it?

no, it means your screwed. surge was nerfed, crit and power are related but you cannot drop surge and gain power so whether or not you change crit for power will not change the fact that you are screwed.

keep in mind only crits where nerfed, and i only lost 300 on my big heal going from 91% surge to 77% surge. ur math is flawed heavily incase you didnt realized it yet.

I would assume that, not only did they "retune" the DR on Surge, but that they backed the (mathematical) limit down from 100% to 80%. That is an assumption...I suppose the DR curve could just rise like a rocket near ~75% or so.

None of this would upset me if my enhancements didn't pigeonhole me into stacking the ever-loving hell out of Surge. Give me crit / power enhancements, and I'll carry those instead.

No, I won't (as a DPS class) take accuracy / alacrity. No, it won't help me what-so-ever.

It would also affect me less if my class weren't crit dependent for their sustained DPS output.

So ya, this is a heavy handed nerf to DPS - across the board - affecting some more than others. It becomes more noticeable on longer fights (duh) and I'll be "interested" in finding out just how it affects our Operations groups tonight.

It is not a lie. I am Focus specc with 96 Surge Rating BUT I have the talent of the Focus Spec that gives me +30% crit damage with all forces...

Haha, all the casual babies in this thread complaining that min/maxing is wrong.

Even though it is the easiest pve content in all of sports entertainment history, you guys should get better.

I just tested it, it is 7-10% difference depending on the heal I use.

In hardmodes and nightmares players unfamiliar with mechanics are always getting saved in the last 10% of their health pool. Once everyone knows the fights this is no longer such an issue, but here in release when we are still showing people the ropes its going to lead to many more deaths, much more frustration and unfortunately less players sticking with the game.

I will point out i never mentioned it was huge, but it will have an effect no matter how hard you shake your pompoms.

Went from 81.45 in my BM pvp gear to a lovely 72%.

I think it's high time you just remove Agent from the game and be done with it.

This nerf killed heal Ops out right; bam, one shot to the head.

No the problem is Bioware failed at the Tier Gear.....noone wants ALACRITY HI! It's on all the tier gear and is the worst stat for my class.....people taking out the 56level enhancements for level 50 ones that's how bad it is......Go go 400+ alacrity and like no crit or surge on the tier gear!

Seriously I can't even make the decision to buy any Tionese gear from HM's because it's not any better than gear that i've modded out with all 50mobs/enhancements/ and 51 armoring.....The columni gear is only slightly better but the stats are completely squewed towards alacrity for whatever stupid reason...

Who made the decision to nerf surge......I want to talk to him. Personally. I want to sit down with him and tell him slowly, quitely, almost whiper-like that he is the biggest ra-tard in MMO creation. I want to tell him he's fired.
