What's more worrying is they seem to be listening to the crying 5% and instantly nerfing based on that... that's extremly reactionary and not how a MMO should be run.

As people are saying this will affect PVE - thats what seems to be forgotten all the time you QQ's call for nerfs for PVP reasons only...not good at all.

A worrying sign for the future.

Once the nerf bat swings...it never stops - you ALL must know this by now.

I think the reason Bioware is nerfing this is because Crit/Surge became the must-have for every single AC. While this does make everyone more powerful, it also renders all the other options a waste. Every MMO goes through this, and they all pretty much handle it the same way: Nerf the OP to balance it against everything else. Once that's done, they can keep looking and see if now there is a need to improve one of the less popular options to make it more desirable.

It was Bioware's intent that all the different paths of gear stats be equally viable so players would feel more free to customize their character how they want it without feeling like they are sacrificing the capabilities of that character.

The min/maxers are going to chart the way in what needs to be nerfed or improved. If the "best" path is to max out everything on a specific stat, that stat will be nerfed. If the "best" path involves a clever mix of every type of mod available to maximize how much you get before it caps, that's where most MMO devs want it to be.

Sure so please tell me what am I supposed to put in as enhancements for my Sorc?
Power/Accuracy now that Surge isn't viable anymore beyond ~240?
I sure as hell won't put in Power/Alacrity to mess up my force-regen...

all dps lost 18% crit multiplier with this patch since before fully geared they had 91% multiplier and now after the huge nerf and the force of dropping surge to 250 they will have 73% multiplier, that's an 18% nerf for all max geared players. to put this in terms of dps, this is the equivalent of a juggernaut dps wearing a shield generator to dps, so put that in perspective!

I find it hard to think that people really believe this in this day and age.

And they have gone over this time, and time again in testing: nerfs/boots/tuning come from metrics....not the forums.

They track things in game. They track everything that can be tracked in game. They evaluate that over time.

That's what effects tuning. Not who cries the loudest.

Does that mean that as a DPS gunnery commando favoring crit/surge I would have better luck going power instead ?

10% less PVE healing.

Nobody can convince me this is a good thing.

Thanks again to lazy pvp balancing attempts.

Yup, gj Bioware. Spend your time nerfing players instead of fixing the game/provinding content.

Really fascinates me how lost you are on your priorities.
