What does the 1-49 bracket teach us about PVP gear?

Even though I have pvp gear and have spent a lot of time getting it I hate the fact that if I run into a fresh level 50 in a WZ he has absolutely no chance against me, that is not fun for either of us. In my mind pvp should be competitive and skill based, that is what makes it fun. But this whole attitude many of the high ranks have that their gear needs to be absolutely amazing so only somebody that has spent as much time as them can stand a chance is just pathetic.

It would seem however that your assessment that this thread and those like it will "not do anything" I would say you are in error.

They are also working on changing the system to make the economy more player crafter based. Like it was in SWG. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=260731

And finally, just to make this clear it would behoove you not to spend your time trying to make up what the person you are debating with is thinking. I loved SWG, but I have never been under the delusion that this game is going to be SWG. There are actually aspects of many other MMORPGs that I feel would be good here. Including coalitions like in COV, a lot of aspects of DAOC, etc.

Now, please stay on topic. The topic is not what you believe I think. It is about the benefits of gear vs skill PVP.

Torleen, if you we're a gatling-gun i would hold you to my head and say "kiss me" like heavy from tf2.

Expertise = SKILLS, NOT

Expertise removes the casual player out of PVP.

Remove Expertise from the game.

I want to get my toon to lvl 49 and turn off experience gain off.

Sure have gear as a reward. Same type of gear as given from daily's and hard more flashpoints. Just remove the Expertise.

Make PVP fun for the casual players again past 50.

Are those with the Expertise gear scared of the other players? They play all the time and need help to win?

Expertise is really easy to get

I did warzones 10-50 for leveling, sometimes doing class quests when long queues were out.

Ive been level 50 for 1 day, I already have 5 pieces of centurian, 2 pieces of champ, and 347 expertise.

The sad fact is that this isnt going to change.

I have the creeping suspicion that the GW2 people were right.

The combat in this game is a lot of fun.
But it likely will be two years before it becomes really good if people stick it out not just now but when the big changes happen.

Lots of people will quit when they make the big changes as PvP folks are the biggest whiners in any MMORPG.
I soloed Ilum completing all of the objectives.
30 sentinel ,40 Shadow, 18 Scoundrel
Why cant we win at WZ's Universe at war RPGPVP progression Re-install DX9 for better perf?

Come on, if you are a PVPer you don't need the crutch. Don't hide behind your gear.
Ok i'll say this. If you think i'm hiding behind my gear. Why don't you quit crying work to get to my gear level and challenge me.

Once you reach Champion level gear in this game you can take on anyone pretty much on an equal footing.

I'm in full champion and i take on BMs in Full BM gear.

champion gear is so easy to get now. you get 100% chance every bag for something.

when i got my champion gear you could go 30 bags without getting anything but centurion commendations. And then when you finally did get something it was a dupe.

Just cos you don't want to work and have everything handed to you don't tell me i'm not a good player.

If I could turn off exp gain I would at 49 for my favorite toon that was made just for PVP. I have no interest in the 50 PVP. My raiding toon that is 50 is no fun to bring into PVP at all. He is in some nice raiding gear and gets stomped.

When I was serious about the 50 PVP he got screwed on about 20+ bags so I gave up. That is a different thread though.

Translation Follows:

I like stomping lowbies who dont have all their abilities when I do... and usually dont know thier class, when i have had 49 levels to learn mine.

I also sorta wish they never introduced the lvl 50 bracket...except it bracketed out all the players who know their class and because of that, will easily compete with me when i turn 50..so i dont want to turn 50 either

The level 10 player has a far greater chance against the twinked 49 than the fresh 50 does versus the geared 50s.
