(( Give me a legitimate reason to NOT have a LFD tool. ))

didnt need one to date.
I don't need one now to effectively and happily play.
Didnt need one in any of the other mmo's I played, and was still effective and happy.
Waste of resources that could be put top better use elsewhere IMO.

I went to the 2nd FP to be unlocked in the game, on a Low population server during work hours. Do I need to check every single FP level range for you to be satisfied, just so you can go "HAHA! Told you so! It took you 3 minutes to get a group through whispering in every single FP besides Colicoid War Games where it took 6 minutes! Don't you see that this is too long to wait?"

that's a reason for you to not use one, not a reason for it not to be added to the game. I mean,

I haven't need to play a trooper to date.
I don't need to play a trooper now to effectively and happily play.
Didnt need to play a trooper in any of the other mmo's I played, and was still effective and happy.
The trooper class is a waste of resources that could be put top better use elsewhere, so it should be removed from the game...

Multiple teams in an mmo.

Optional service wont effect you then.

There's two legitimate reasons for yours.

Personally would love to see mmo's get closer and closer to removing the server boundary altogether.

A side of the lfg system I'll bet most of the counter-argument doesn't think of.
That would be cool. Something like EVE but this isn't the kind of MMO where that would work easily. With EVE the just put up some extra servers, populate it with planets/asteroids/spacestations and whatnot and let the users populate it.

But something like the possibility to do normal quests with someone else from another server and (maybe temporarily) transfer them to your server would rock. But that's offtopic.

A general rating system with + and - options would be very nice and makes it a nicer experience for the ones that try to make it so for everyone and the ones that steal/grief will get their due by being grouped with their own kind, making it interesting for them too. A Karma-system.

Do you need to check every low pop server at all level ranges and bring back actual non-anecdotal evidence to beat out mine?

Yes that's how it works sorry.

Because atm my experience doesn't match yours.

Good thing it's optional then.
Scroll up and read, pls... Optional for you but not for me.

if you believe there would be no choice in this optional lfg tool doesn't that indicate that the majority would fully support or do you genuinely believe that suddenly over half of the subs for swtor would vanish?
I cannot speak of what others would do...

...I always voted with the wallet. Not going to leave when LFD arrives... Will leave as soon as the content is streamlined for it...

The reasson is simple... I will keep on going on human assembled parties as much as possible... Once the "streamlining" happens, Dungeon runs will be just boring grind runs...

...The right moment to leave a game... When it becomes boring.

...As I did on WoW and I did on Rift.

It's simple: would you rather do the same endgame content over and over with random strangers or with friends who will chat and joke around? Just like your town has people you would never associate with it also has people who's company you genuinely enjoy and who make average experiences more fun.

The idea of community is that the time you spend in MMOland has the same social aspects as roaming the real world with friends.
