I will make all you (no xserver ) people a deal. I will no longer sit in fleet spamming for hours looking for groups and you don't use the group finder tool. Win-Win

Reember if they add the LFG tool...it is OPTIONAL. You don't have to use it.

We all understand that loot is part of the game, but it's not THE game. WoW made it THE game and it's fallen apart since half way through WOTLK. Server only LFG would be so sweet. Cross server breaks the magic formula. If I can't find a group to run a flashpoint with then that's ok I'll do other stuff - on the assumption there is other stuff to do. But each to their own: if you only play the game for loot then cross server LFG will be great for you.

/edit: and if they do bring it in it will plant the perception firmly in my mind that BioWare have no ideas about how to keep a person with a level 50 character entertained for a long time. I hope this isn't the case.

Again,
If you played Republic and experienced how effing hard it is to get a group together for ANYTHING given the extremely low populations, you might think differently.

If you play Imperial, cya! One less person to worry about outnumbering the Republics.

It's amazing how many people (most likely imperials) are against Republics actually getting to experience the game.

We're better off without you. Can I have your stuff?

Ok, I wasn't specific. And again, no one is forcing you to group with anyone...you can scan /trollchat for locals, no one will stop you. It's the people in the general/trade/pvp chats that are the annoying trolls. I actually have general chat off almost all the time because of this. I'm a solid player, who wants to play the game without having to sift through personalities. Once you get into a group it's usually focused on the task at hand, and not trolling or people looking for e-girlfriends. There you go, I spelled it out for you. Or perhaps you were actually just trolling?

As someone who was:
  • adamantly against Cross Server LFG tool pre-release
  • initially rolled Republic because it seemed like everyone was rolling Imperial
  • only to later re-roll on another server/Imperial side because of the shocking imbalance

Salva is speaking the truth. It sucks but it's the reality for far too many Republic players.

I fit all three of those variables! Imagine how I feel now that the original character(s) I rolled I might actually get to play!

Anyone against this is probably an Imperial that's used to having the advantage in everything and is too selfish to give it up.

I challenge anyone who says they are against this to switch to the republic (c'mon we all know you play Imps), level to 50, and see how much fun they have. If they think they want to quit now, just wait till you do that, you'll really want to leave.

As long as we get the option NOT to group with people from other servers using a LFG system.

This pretty much ruined the community in wow, especially in PVE content. Why would someone choose to play on a RP server, or specific server for it's community want to play with some random idiot kids from another server?

Why can't the people on the RP server form their own groups?

To think I had a crush for Amanda Bynes since 2003...
Hum on topic indeed, the cross server LFG tool does not remove the whispering, the chat channel spam, the emotes, and the good old ways to form a group. The old way and the other ways can coexist perfectly. Personally, I'll use both.

While I don't agree with all of your post, I definitely think being able to choose Cross Server or In Server as part of LFG mechanics is absolutely worth while. Along with Cross-Server friends/ignore list, similar to what WoW (The three letter word! gasp!). So if you do meet someone ya like grouping with from another server you can A) continue to whisper/tell to them regardless of servers and you will have a increased chance to group with that person the next time ya queue up for LFG. The /Ignore function working similarly as far as, you put person X on your /ignore list, and you never have to worry about being put into a group with them again. It would be even better if Friend/Ignore was tied to the account and not just individual chars.
Just because I do not care, does not mean I do not understand.

This is a win for hardcore players, not just casuals. It's a loss for those who enjoy farming credits to pay for respecs between pve and pvp, and of course, those care bears who think 'community' matters.
Yo. Droid companions need an operations vendor, too. My extra coms have to go somewhere, and I'd prefer SCORPIO to Kaliyo.
