1) As soon as you pick up a Heroic, throw up a LFG and keep doing your own thing. As 'important' as everyone says they are while leveling, you can probably go to the GTN and buy better gear that what you'd get from the Heroic anyway. I wouldn't get hung up on them

2) Join a guild. If I pugged hard modes every day I would probably put an ax through my TV and set my computer on fire. Guild runs are much smoother and a decent guild will use Vent which makes them cake.

If LFG comes, it will most likely be server specifc and if will more than likely be in an expansion. Right now it really isn't necessary.
Pro-Tip:

The people who I've played with for years and I in WoW all came to SWTOR and only 3 of us stayed in the guild. So, now I have to look for complete strangers and develop new relationships. Not a problem, but not ideal, either.

Let me explain how this works to you. If the forums are full of complaints, it's because there is reason for it. Now, you may counter that and say "but only a small few visit the forums!" Very observant and true of you. However, those same people who are NOT bothering to post are STILL playing the same game.. and experiencing the same problems and may just unsubscribe and not post about it.

The forums are an extremely good indication of how the playerbase as a whole feels. Why else would random developers put polls up on the forums about new features.. IE: the new UI being released and them releasing a poll about how we feel about it.

See where I'm coming from?
Nope. That's wrong. Forums represent players that are bored and want to complain. Not the majority of the player base. The amount of people that post on here is literally a sliver of a percentage of active players. That is why the devs take everything said on here with a big grain of salt. And don't forget, you pay to play BioWare's game. Not your game.

1/ My wife and I want to run the dungons because they are FUN. Not for the gear. We dont care about the gear treadmil.

2. We are currently runing our own small guild. We sholdnt be forced to throw that away just to find a group. We never had to in wow, FFXI, Ultima Online, and shouldnt have to here either.

The fact that the game has consistently had more than 10,000,000 subscribers for more than 3 years is beyond amazing.

They havent been promoting the game? You mean the chuck norris and the Mr T and the 20 other high profile celebs that are making comericals for the game isnt promoting the game. You are full of it.

Why have they been leaving the game? Its because the casuals have invaded and that started adding in all the casual friendly tools like LFG that destroys the community of the game and makes it a Me Myself and Only me MMO.

Now the well its a suprise WoW has 10+ million players and it was bound to lose players. Right but I bet if you go onto their fotums there will be casuals saying that the game is gaining subs and that the pandas are gonna bring in even more. Its not how old the game is but the dirrection the game is headed that is causing the decline is subs. The exact same reason that WoW is losing subs is exactly what Bioware is looking to add into the game.
If this game is so great then why do so many people that love the game spend all their time in the forums?

No. That's wrong.

We pay the bills for BioWare and their game. If their investors want to see a return, they need to please us entirely.

They wouldn't post polls on the forums asking about features if they didn't want to hear what the community thought about it. We MAY BE A SLIVER of the playerbase POSTING, but we're ALL PLAYING THE SAME GAME. People who don't post about stuff will still get as aggravated as the rest of us over no LFR, or broken graphics, or broken Ilum, or broken PVP. They'll just unsubscribe and that'll be the end of them.

Well if you played with them for years and they left you now that is either saying that they dont want to group with you (no that couldnt be it) or that the game sucks and they are quitting)

So what is it. Does the game suck or do they not want to group with you?

You responded with "substance" I never asked for soooooo ....good job??

Im not gonna counter anything. You believe what you believe but Every forum Ive ever seen for a freshly launched MMO looks exactly like this one....even the successful ones like WoW, RIFT, EVE. So all I get from that is people just love to complain, something I see a lot in real life too. Way of the world I guess.

The forums are a good tool for the devs though but Im sure they know how to sift through all the nonsense to find good info.

anyhoo, the only reason I respond to you is because you come off extremely dramatic and its fun for me.

They put out one commercial a year. There's been a decline because the game has been out for an astounding 8 years. And they've still retained 10 million subscribers.

There isn't a bigger success story than that game. Ever. In the history of entertainment.

There's also 2 more expansions in the bag. Oh, and WoW only lost 100k subscribers in Q4 of 2011. Doesn't bode well for SW:TOR, does it?

I wonder what the boards would look like if every person who had a complaint decided they should post. If every single person who was annoyed by not having a LFG, or not having the best textures in the game, or their robe appearing pink when it is red.

People never consider how many people just don't bother to post feedback or say hey, i want this in the game! This peticular thing is annoying me!
