My point is that most of the problems being mentioned are likely greatly exaggerated and in some cases have been made up entirely by trolls (fake ban posts for example). Most performance issues are on the users end because of low end computers as Bioware has already stated.

Please stop complaining about problems which are not Biowares fault or will soon be fixed. They are working hard and gave us one of the greatest MMO's ever made (with the best story by far btw )
well, to be fair, the devs got the exaggeration ball rolling with their marketing videos.

Actually, you're underestimating the real problems this game has, which are not simple bugs, but fundamental flaws with the game design and architecture.

Constrained, claustrophobic zones. Nothing to explore, no reason to leave fleet after 50. Dead, lifeless planets with NPC that stand in clumps waiting for you to come kill them. Simplistic NPC AI that just mindlessly fights to the death every time. Nothing but kill/collect quests. Only one level appropriate planet at a time so 80% of the leveling is the same the 2nd time through. Cookie cutter talents. Homogenized class roles. Simple class mechanics. Dull Op/FP encounter design.

It's not just bugs or lack of features. The fundamental design of the game is rotten, and won't keep people's interests for a long-term MMO. It's a fine single-player game, but there's no depth, and even the most ardent fans will be bored in a few months.

This thread is hilariously filled with people and their own claims of "what the real problem is".

This game is a piece of garbage. They spent 200 million dollars and did a piss poor job with it. That's it.

Yeah, pretty much. And by the whiniest and most complaint exaggerating segment of the player base IMO.

This. I'm sorry, I played WoW at launch, there were things about it that sucked, but the subpar state this game is in is ridiculous. The game plays like a beta. Stop defending EA for pushing BW to release a game that was far from ready. The launch of a game in 2011 should not be significantly behind the launch of a game released almost a decade ago.

The game is fun your first time through, if you aren't playing one of the classes with severely bugged quests. My experience is almost everyone who's at 50 and absolutely everyone who has a 2nd 50 realizes the bad state the game is in. It's those on their first play through who haven't seen through it yet.

With the budget avaliable this game should have been amazing, truly amazing, and it's just a decent MMO with excellent voice acting and a story.

Do I like it?, Sure, but if it wasn't for Bioware, story and it being Star Wars I would have quit after a week. Not because it is a bad game, but simply because without those three things it is just plain average in everything.

The issue is that people doesn't want to play average....they want great, and are disappointed with silly mistakes that shouldn't happen from a developer of this quality.
I am what I am and that's all that I am.
