Uhh, you could talk to the enemy faction in CoX and Everquest, hell CoX didn't get an enemy faction until City of Villains. And most of the people stayed out of the PvP zones to begin with, and the dueling arenas you could definitely talk to one another. So please, don't make up excuses. DAoC and WoW and WAR are the major games where cross faction talk was not allowed.
